  1. I grew up fishing with my Grandpa. He landed my pb walley (almost 9lbs.) with is hands has we had forgot the net. He is 97 now and not doing so well. Nice healthy looking eyes.
  2. Lindy rig or an in-line spinner (mutiple threads here recently) work well with leeches. Jig will work too but would use a minnow with the jig over leech.
  3. Looking good buddy. Sorry I wasn't available this weekend as we planned. It will happen. If you get a free night thios week I should be available Mon, Tues, and Thurs evenings. Days too but don't tell my wife lol.
  4. Were the matching shirts a planned thing? Cute.
  5. Great pictures.
  6. Here is what my son got a few years ago (Right after the Sponge Bob rod). There have the hook up inside the lure and when you pull on the eye of the hook it spins out the bottom. I was thinking that they would be effective if they wern't toys. Safety Lures Rattling Safety Lures They also have a lite up safety lure.
  7. Good read. We use Chartuse, and flourescent harnesses and spinners all the time.
  8. Great release Simon.
  9. "My arms are killing me...can you light me a smoke? I Love it. Is she good with a landing net too? Can't wait to get a look at that monster.
  10. Catch some nice "Brown" Trout. How about my G spot?
  11. If I had him on Team 2 I could show him my good spots. Now when I take him out on Nipissing I'll take him to my C,D, and E spots lol.
  12. I can get them easily here in North Bay.
  13. Is the market for tomatoes that good? Does the risky nature in which they are grown make them taste better? Great post. Looks like some nice specks.
  14. Great report. Beauty specs. It is a magical place. What is the string on the skull?
  15. Cool, Chad. I got us an awesome Largie lake and maybe some access to Muskie heaven.
  16. Or pants?
  17. Oops. Alright. I need to read the time stamp more often. lol
  18. Dan, The creator of those Slimers frequents the North Bay area (Redbridge is 20 minutes away) and Discount Tackle and Bait on Trout Lake Rd has had them for sale for about 5 years...maybe more. I have never used them but heard good things about them. The display at the store has some huge Lakers that were caught using them.
  19. Wallmart too. Some stores have the Trigger-X crawlers on clearence.
  20. My wife does. lol
  21. Coingrats Peter, After 9.5 years at my last job I just "rolled the dice" with a new private venture in hopes of making better money. Let me tell you I layed awake until 3 am (lew o'clock) wondering what the heck I did and how the heck am I gonna make this work? Gone is the pension contributions, benefits, union, and expences (like milage). All to be my own boss.
  22. I see the point BB. I guess I should have written it different. I meant when the bite slows down using worms....then the walleye will go after the minnows. Not that the fish slow down. Quite the opposite. As the water heats up in June-July then the fish are active chasing schools of baitfish. Then in late July-August as the water gets "soupy" here on Nipissing the fish are less active and we do better with worms.
  23. On Nipissing and around I use worms all season and go to minnows when the bite slows down (around end of June). I have had allot of success for walleye with worms in the spring. If the water is cold then the fish are not that active...what's an easier meal...a moving minnow...or a fat crawler just sitting there?
  24. Way to go Mike. Glad to hear the great news. Why does your little piece of paradise have a tire in the stream. That drives me crazy!!!! I love the rustic tackle shot.
