  1. Very little rain in the forecast for the next two weeks according to the Weather Network. Should help out the water situation a bit. I started up my 1986 Jonson 4hp today for my little boats. 2nd pull with last years gas. Was stored in my basement all winter. My big boat will come this week and I'll back it into the lake and fire it up on Thursday.
  2. Jason, Our RONA carries marine ply here in North Bay. Maybe one near you does too?
  3. A nice new red Ford F150 would look better.
  4. What`s a pickerel? Nice ride.
  5. Maybe if you changed your avatar you wouldn't butt heads with so many of us dreamers.
  6. Randy, I can't see Pickeral rock this year? I guess you're gonna have to take me.
  7. The Underground Railway?
  8. I drove North Bay to New Liskeard and back today. There is allot of water. Here are a few pics taken from the truck with the cell phone. A little ice left on Temagami Tomiko River Rest stop flooded This is the Chippewa Creek which runs through North Bay. The Conservation Authority issued flood warnings for it today.
  9. Please create a second account for me. Let's use rehsifpiN and see if anyone figures it out. Under that name, I will post pictures of huge OOS fish that I did not catch and tell you all exactly where I thought they were caught and on what lures. I will floss and use the secret lure (marshmallows). I will call you all names, and pick fights with the mods for no reason. Man.......pickeral doesn't open here until May 21st.
  10. P.M.'d you Davidson.
  11. Get the water to a good boil and drop them in. Don't walk away the take only a minute. Rinse off and add butter salt and pepper. MMmmmmmm.
  12. Like an industrial pressure cooker. The burner heats the liquid or material inside. The big valve on top locks down the lid and the pressure can be observed using the guage. My guess is the air hook-ups allow for safe release of the pressure? Any chance it was off of a train..or from a factory? Looks like a piece to a much bigger machine.
  13. Yep our primo spot is closed until June 1st. We can still catch them on the outside of that area but most oif them are pretty smart and hide behind the "line".
  14. I'm not counting Vancouver out at home in Game 7. Luongo and the Sedins will play well enough to win. Chicago has grit but Van. will win the series.
  15. TC10Z....where you been hiding? Glad Skeeter was available to help out today because tomorrow he SHOULD be out fishing and representing Team 2. OFNers are a nice bunch.
  16. Misfish, The lake simcoe message board is very busy but after the main moderator (Sly) passed away it got out of control. LFW I agree but it did have some good days. Now it is coming back around again. The lakenipissing.org (sister site)is very slow though. Speil, I agree and so does the author of the article. Giving general helpfull info about a lake or a tactic for catching fish in that lake is good enough.
  17. Take this how you like but there are some good arguments both ways. I enjoyed the read. First time I have been on "Time On the Water" web site. Looks like a decent site with decent articles. Article
  18. Way to go Geoff and OFC. Hope you enjoy it Jen. Now she doesn't have to borrow any of you Danielle Steele "Fabio" novels anymore Wayne.
  19. We'll have to get out on Nip together this year.We can bring the boys out for an afternoon drift.
  20. That yellow one is in rough shape. Caught up in the rocks?
  21. All the minnows I buy at the bait shop come from a different lake then I fish.
  22. Big Cliff. Not sure when you last cleaned smelts but they're not that hard. If you just cut off the heads and slit the belly to scoop ot each one takes less then 10 seconds. Cormorants don't care how many they eat? Nice haul guys. Never considered staying out till 3am. Hmmmm? Mr. Mike...are you gonna post the location of your "honey hole" for all to see?
  23. Register yourself for the OFC 2011 tournament. You will get on a team soon. It is allot of fun.

  24. Congrats Nick. There will be a little more room in the shack for you next winter. I'm pretty sure I've consumed the 50% of the alcohol you avoided. Seriously Christmas 2009 I weighed in at 205 lbs and Christmas 2010 I was about 195 lbs. I'm comfortably fitting in my size 34 waist jeans now. I'm sure I'll get bigger this summer with the consumption of beer, marshmallows (Yes I said Marshmallow) and smores around the fire.
