  1. nice looking fish but mine was bigger.
  2. 28th Nick.
  3. Thanks Roy. I usually kis them before releasing them but NOT THIS ONE.
  4. Got out with some buddies on Callander Bay this afternoon. Fished from 2pm - 5pm. I got there around 3:15. We ended up catching 4 walleye in total with 3 keepers and one slot size walleye that was 58 cm (23"). The guys caught 2 pike before I showed up and they said one of the pike was covered in black spots. We also caught 9 keeper perch over 8" and threw back many more. 10.5" of solid ice. Here is the slot sized walleye that was released to spawn again if it can? Anyone know what this disease is?
  5. 10.5" of solid ice with slush and snow on top.
  6. North Bay is only an hour away. Come to Nipissing anytime (you can actually fish Nip's west arm is less than 35 minutes) . Try and join us on the 28th to meet some members at our get together.
  7. What......? It kept my son's head safe. Pictures were taken with my phone. Not sure who's gonna be more proud Wayne or Billy Bob?
  8. Thanks for the help guys.
  9. Good job IFH. I'm not that handy so it'll be a bucket of some sorts until I replace it.
  10. Great ideas Mike and I thought of them all. Guess I don't want to put a mixing bowl / bucket on my $300 auger? I will use something for this weekend. Nick, no Princess Auto here in North Bay. Can Tire had some last year. Like I said I'll check Wally World and some tackle shops. If anyone is coming up this weekend and knows of a place that carries them that would be great.
  11. I lost the plastic cover for my auger blades last year at seasons end. Had them oiled and wrapped this off-season and forgot about it. So when I took it out I realized I need one. Went to Can. Tire and no luck. I'll check WalMart and a few tackle shops. Any ideas? Can I make one out of something? Anyone heading North this weekend that could pick one up for me?
  12. I need them to beat Columbus on Sunday for my suicide pool.
  13. Hoping you get better soon. Hosp. is the best place for you now. Don't take any chances.
  14. Glad you had a great time. I'm curious as to what lake you targeted pike and perch on? McLaren's Bay? PM me if you don't want to post here.
  15. I saw alot in almost 10 years working for Children's Aid. Most of the "difficult" things I have seen are related to mental health. The medical community will rarely diagnose mental illness in a person under 18. By then some are on a bad road that has little hope to offer. Many are parents by that age. It often becomes further complicated by addictions.
  16. On Nipissing it is often bigger minnows to deter "dink" perch. With pin-heads you could catch hundreds of perch in a day. Bigger shiners deter some of the perch.
  17. Great responces on both posts manitoubass2. Skip your sister did some great work. I think we need to allow WSB to respond in this thread before we bash him anymore. I believe his question/comment may have been been poorly conveyed. I don't believe he is making fun of homeless people. Rather asking why they are standing outside in the cold? Seems like a reasonable question to ask. Been about 5-6 different answers given and they all may be wrong?
  18. Well you'll have to stop in to my hut on the 28th for the gtg.
  19. I had a similar problem in my Ford and it was a vacuum hose.
  20. Was posted a little earlier by Dave Bailey. Cool though.
  21. As long as it's not Randy's hole that you're calling alls good.
  22. YUP. Impaired snowmobiler
  23. O.k. folks, Here it is. I'm going to have my hut in a similar spot as it was last year only a little shallower so we should have more perch action. Nick (NAW) is going to spend the night there and if another member want's to join him P.M. him to make arrangements. I can stay in it any time, so I'll give it up to members this year. It is warm and comfy for 2 people. No cost. I'll get shiners for us all when I know how many are coming. Should be no problems driving right to the hut. I'll get in touch with the locals to arrange food. Probably start at 10 am and hang around until it gets dark. You are welcome to arrive and leave as you wish. If you can stop in for a 1/2 hour (T.J., Bernie) that would be great. Any ideas or questions post them here or P.M. me.
  24. Countryboy, Why are you always shouting?
  25. I heard today the Billy Bob's WILL be open this winter and he has LOTS of emerald shiners.
