when I bought my boat (16.5' Starcraft) it had an old MG 42 thrust cable steer bow mount on it. It sucked! I upgraded to a new MG wireless 55 thrust and love it. No problems with weeds as long as I am around the 4th or 5th speed setting. I have room for 24v system and actually the boat is designed for one but I cheaped out. One thing I am doing this spring is upgrading the shaft from 42" to 60" to keep the power head in the water with Nipisssing's big rollers.

Is the "fancy" brook trout going to be open yearly in the other lakes like Liberty and Wyn?

I read it, just wouldn't help if they could smell out herring or whities. Only OOS fish you could catch here during the hard water season would be bass. I guess the ability to find consealed fish is why they have dogs.

I had a Delicous 20" Lake Trout last week. I covered it with butter, spices, and cesar salad dressing and wrapped it in foil. 17 minutes per side on the bar-b-que. Best I have ever had.

The C.O.s had a dog with them on Nipissing this weekend. My buddy said it was funny to see the dog in a sleigh. Dog never even got out. Now.....what would they be trained to find on Nipissing? Slot sized fish? lol.

I went to a buddy's place on Family day for a Laker trip. After unloading my sled from the trailer I pulled up to his house. Got all our gear together then took off for the trail. When I backed up in his driveway I found his wife's Volvo. OUCH. $678 was the repair cost for the front quarter panel and paint job.
