Great stuff Simon. The meat on those lakers is beautiful. I also agree, rather catch lake trout jigging, over trolling, any day of the week...twice on Sundays!!
Yupper huge difference between rip jigging weeds, and, vertical jigging. Definitely want two different set-ups to be most effective. No less than a medium for ripping, medium-light for vertical. Some good suggestions on here already for both.
Think Roy was speaking specifically about walleye. The sane thing will happen to perch in those depths.
As mentioned by others slow and steady can help.
Nice fish Paul!
Sounds like you guys kicked a$$ Doug!!! Nice unexpected bonus getting the flight in!
Congrats on a successful trip!
How many levels above Horwood would you put this trip?
You know it Rick!!
That's what I've said for years Joey! A little message that Will (Fishnsled) has on his signature is the way we should all strive to live life. Someday is here now!!
Mike has inspired me with posts like this, and, I have contacted Martin to make special moments like this finally happen.
Thanks, again, Mike for your great journeys...and for always answering my questions quickly and courteously!
Well worth the wait Mike. Definitely a tough decision choosing between those three lakes!!
Love the cliff, and, you all definitely mined some beautiful gold!!
Great stuff!!!!!! Truly would be a great experience, and, I'm looking forward to part 2.
Hopefully one of those muskies has a OFC tourney sign in a pic somewhere
