  1. I bought the H.H. about a month ago and have been using it since. I'm not sure of the model, but it has the built in suspenders. Pockets all over in the right places, velcro cuffs and ankles, belts at thighs and waist all adjustable. It seems a bit stiff to move around in but I'm hoping it just needs to be broken in. The suspenders are a really good thing, great for dressing down. You can open the front completely without the suit falling down and dragging. Polar fleece collar and handwarmer pockets. The colour is floro orange and black. I paid 350 plus tax a local merchant. So far I really like it.
  2. I changed the batteries on mine last summer when the a/c wouldn't come on. The display was flashing low bat at the time.
  3. I have heard the fishing has been tough so far on the bay. I am heading to Merland for Dec1 to 4th, hope the fishing changes by then. Last year we had to fight the 30 to 40 km winds and it took us two days to get our first fish. There was 6 of us and everyone caught fish, just not the numbers from the previous years there. I caught only one fish in 4 days but it was the biggest of our group at 12.4 lbs which was released unharmed. Four yrs ago my buddy and I landed 24 fish in 4 days with the smallest being 10.4 and the largest weighing in at 13.3lbs. I am pumped and ready to go I just got a order of new baits in last week. A half dozen new tail dancers and about 25 new reefrunners. For me the tail dancers have put the largest fish in the boat for the last 4 years in a row.
  4. I just had a new Ariens delivered to my door last weekend from my local dealer. I purchased the 30" 12.5 hp. I payed 1575.00 plus tax, free set up and delivery. Home Depot was 1599.00 and setup was 40.00 and delivery was extra as well. The reason I recommend Ariens is because they are made to last. My last one I purchased in 93, a 8hp 24". Never had any issues with it, but basic maintenance which I took care of myself. Two weeks ago I put new belts on it and a new bearing and sold it for 350.00 to my neighbour. Another reason for buying a Ariens is that their parts distribution is second to none even if your machine is 25 yrs old or more. Trust me on this one, you won't be disapointed.
  5. Thanks Didoban, but that cofiguration wont work on my boat. My swim platform is bolted to the transom and extends 2 ft.
  6. Hmmm, how do you and your sister get along?
  7. Thanks Dave. I like the one in the first link. I think I will go to the local welding shop and see if they can make me one over the winter. Can probably get one made for better than the 350.00 they want.
  8. Nice walleye. Did I mention I like fat girls too.
  9. I like it Bushart. When I clicked on the larger image I was immediately drawn into it. And after a few minutes you catch yourself starting to daydream. Nice piece.
  10. Unfortunately she is shrink wrapped and put away for the winter. The swim platform is about 2 ft wide and runs the complete width of the transom. With an empty boat the platform is about 1 ft off the water
  11. I am thinking along the lines of a 15 hp 4 stroke long shaft. A 2 stroke would be okay as well but the fumes can be a bit bothersome at times if the wind is blowing into the stern. The motor will always be tethered to the D ring on the transom, just to make sure the motor doesn't end up on the bottom of the lake for some reason. Before I posted this question I have spent time searching the net and found two different units and they are in the 7 to 900 price range. The problem Ten90, is I cannot attach the kicker until I get this bracket thing figured out. Might be a custom fab job, but was hoping someone on here might of seen something on a big lake charter boat or something while they were out fishing. I guess I might have to put my McGiver hat on for this one. I have all winter to figure it out, and get a motor as well. Once that is done I will deal with the steering options available, which I don't think will be as big of an issue.
  12. Hey fellow fishers. I want to put a kicker motor on my 25 ft Thundercraft, but the only place to mount it would be on the swim platform. Does anyone have any knowledge about this. I have seen lots mounted to the transom but that won't work with my rig. Also can the motor be set up to steer from the helm? I'm running a 350 v8 inboard. Thanks.
  13. I would say your a bit early Fish Farmer. I will be heading down on Dec 1 to 4. Hopefully the big fat girls will be in by then.
  14. To set a guy up to crunch his boat because he is fishing to close.... I would say you guys are the pricks not him...just saying.
  15. Before you do any more charging you might want to pop the tops and check the levels. If there a bit low top em up with distilled water and recharge. Good luck.
  16. I have been watching Home Depot in my area since Sept and no deals there. They even tried the bait and switch with me and when I caught them, they wouldn't take my money for the one they were falsley advertising. Can you believe it...wouldn't take my money...my mom hates me.
  17. So true.. I'm a label checker big time. I refuse to buy from China, and find it awfully difficult to find some things. For instance I have been looking for a 3 ton floor jack for 2 months now. Every place I check is all Made In China. Napa, Crappy, Auto Pro, Wally World...not even sure why I checked there? And I'm also wondering why a Ariens snowblower in the states is 400 cheaper than here. What gives? P.S. anyone knoe where I can get a 3 ton floor jack that aint made in China.
  18. Looks like combat fishing to me. And look at buddy boging the big bomb haha.
  19. I know what your going through Dave. I went through the same thing with my mom 4 yrs ago. My mom had a mesectomy done and has been cancer free ever since. She is 75 yrs old and had a choice of removing the breast or just the affected area. She was told there would be a better chance of getting all of it if the breast was removed. She said I don't need em anymore so take it all off. There was no doubt in her mind or mine that she would make a full recovery. Stay positive and I will say aprayer for your mom as well.
  20. Sounds like you got er all. If it's pissing leave it alone, and I would grease the prop shaft and change the vent screw and drain screw gasgets as well. If your taking it off the boat, build a stand and store it upright. Crap always happens when you lay em down in the garage somewhere. Have fun.
  21. 832 is the cats meow... Double up the strength of your bifocals cause man, that 10 lb is skinny.
  22. We were there on the opening weekend in May. Not the best time of the year to be there fishing for big Northerns. The ice had only been off for a week or so. So we concentrated on the shallow bays on the north side of the lake. We were sight fishing and could see the big Northerns swimming around. They wouldn't take anything we threw at them till we decided to dead bait with big six inch plastic minnows in 3 to 4 ft of water. The fish were still in post spawn and the bite was tough but we coaxed a few big girls to bite. I understand that August is the time to be there for big fish. Trolling and casting the main lake structure you will get lots over 40" and possibly a 30 lber. Definitely going to go back there and spend more time on the Lakers, there are lots and they are big.
  23. Have you been to Bush Country Camp in the Kipawa? The lake is Sassaginega. I went there a few years ago and there are lots of big Northerns in that lake. I was only there for three days and caught 4 fish over 40" and lots of Walleye as well. The Walleye were all the eater size which was fine by us. August would be my choice of time. There is lots of Lakers in there as well.
  24. Is there an orange ring in the eye...No. Cause it's a largie.
  25. I'm using my gas furnace now since it is new and not cold enough to make a fire. Once it gets colder and I can keep the fire going 24/7 I won't be using the furnace anymore except when I go away for a few days. My high efficient wood stove is in my living room, it has a glass door so I can enjoy the flame. I burn about 3 full chords a winter and wouldn't change it for anything. Wood is the only fuel that heats you up more than once.
