Dont forget their rain coats. If it rains and they want to stay inside tell them you got two choices. Put on your rain coats and get outside and play or if you want to stay inside you can do house work. That always worked for me. Board games are good for long periods of foul weather. We used to play backgammon for hours during the evenings with bad weather. -

Used to go there every year in late may. We always caught lots of walleye and 5 or 6 in the 10 lb range during a 4 day trip. The last 3 years we went we never caught any eyes over 5 or 6 lbs. I believe all the big fish are gone. There are 4 maybe 5 cabins on the lake and there very rustic but functional. The owner of the camp is a bit of a dork and his prices doubled the last 2 years we went. 6 guys in a cabin at 75.00 per night each guy from 40.00 the year before. Havent been back there for 3 yrs now. And you zec is 20.00 a day on top of your non-resident fishing licence. If you go take lots of boat trailer parts because the roads in are brutal. We always had issues with broken bunks. axles, flat tires etc. 15 ft tinnies were the biggest we ever dragged in and anything bigger and your looking for trouble anad we were crawling all the way.

Those are some nice looking peppers Ice. My plant is at the same stage as that one. I have some bonemeal in the shed and will give mine some tomorrow. Do most nurseries carry the liquid fish with kelp? I have just been using Miracle grow every two weeks to fertilize but would rather use a organic product.

The peppers on my plant are in the light green stage now, and will turn red as they ripen. They will also get hotter. I will definitely be keeping some for seeds this fall since they seem quite hard to get.Carp, I think the Naga is the same thing just a different dialect. I could be wrong. This plant grows 4 or 5 feet tall and yields hundreds of peppers but it would have to be a few years old before it would yield this amount.Another idea is to make some infused cooking oils super bowl chili and good old salsa. I guess I will use it in very small amounts to get the heat factor right. I tried one of my habenaros last summer and it was stupid hot and I was sweating and tears and a runny nose I felt the heat for about an hour at least, milk didn't put out the sizzle either. The ghost pepper is about 3 times hotter. A hot pepper freak told me the best thing to eat to put out the sizzle is a banana or a shot of olive oil, carbonated drinks make it worse.

Hi everyone. Every year in my small garden I grow a different variety of hot peppers. Last year I grew Carribbean Habenaros. They are kick-ass hot and I use them in salsa and different sauces. This year I saw a plant in the local nursery called the Bhut Jolokia also known as the ghost pepper. They claim its the hottest pepper in the world so I bought a small six inch plant for 7.00 and took it home and planted it. It did nothing for about a month then it took off and is about two feet tall now and has about 10 or so peppers on it and is in full bloom. Has anyone here ever grown one? I havent been able to find much on the net about this plant except the dummies that eat them whole and wither in pain. I need info on how to take care of it, what does it like and dislike etc. I plan on taking it indoors for the winter and putting it back in the garden next year because it is a cool looking plant but it takes about 8 to 10 months to mature and our season is to short. Any help with growing and transplanting would be appreciated. I am going to make some ghost pepper infused vodka for ceasers this fall, can't wait. Thanks in advance. Mike. Ps. Anyone want to try one when there ready.

Maybe your confused about the Nitro glass boats and the Tracker aluminum boats. By paint coming off of the hull I think they are talking about tin boats. I have a Nitro bass boat that I bought new in 96 and it has been an awesome boat. Its the Savage model which they no longer make. I can crank it hard at WOT and full trim and it goes where I want it to go. Don't try that in a Stratos or Triton cause the bow will hook and send you for a swim. I have seen it happen with both of these models, and thankfully no one was hurt but really shook up. As for what to look for: Check the hull for damage like deep scrapes and big chips that haven't been repaired. If the boat is super clean chances are the guy takes care of his boat. If its filthy walk away, the guy probably doesn't take care of it. Spider cracks on the top of the boat are not to much of a concern as they are just superficial from flexing over time. All bass boats will get them eventually. Check the steering. If its rack steering and over 5 yrs old the the cables will start to get stiff and have to be replaced soon. Get a compression test done on the motor an d have a mechanic go over it before you buy. Take it for a test drive to make sure everything works properly. If the carpets are worn and dirty they will have to be replaced and be warned your looking at close to 2 grand to have that done. If the price is to good to be true it probably is. If your gut tells you no listen and walk, its easy for a first time buyer to be over whelmed by lots of bling. Thoroughly check out the trailer from front to back and make sure all works properly ie, lights and brakes if so equipped. To check brakes I drive down a steep hill and hit the brakes hard, while looking out your side mirrors you should see a bit of smoke from the trailer tires as they lock up then you know they work good. Check the transom for cracks inside and out. Any cracks walk away. Also when the boat is off the trailer chec the bunks for missing lag bolts and flex the bunks to make sure they are not rotten. Its hard to tell when they are rotten and covered with carpet. Good luck looking.

I bought a pair of Calcutta's from Paddletales two years ago and for about 100 bucks no complaints here. Even have the bifocals on them in the strength I need for that skinny braid. -

Pass on the Bluewaters the dude who took them over a few years ago is an idiot and to busy fishing to take care of his clients. I have been waiting for over a year for my replacements that were sent in from the shop where I bought them. This is what the shop owner told me. I had three identical frames bust in the same place while wearing them. Ya think they would of sent me a different model after two times.Lifetime warranty....Ya right. -
Fanta anyone

Why anybody would buy new is beyond me. Buy used let the guy buying new pay the big bucks and you buy it a few years later for huge savings. Then take the savings and pimp it out if you really want too.

Was in the Pembroke store this morning at 10:00am and they didnt have any in stock. The supervisor told me they only had one and it was already sold. He told me he could do a rain check for me and asked if there was anything else he could help me with. I told him I just drove 20 miles to pick up the reel and some other fishing gear but I think I will take my business some place else. Why do these idiots advertise something and then when you go there they don't have the goods? I was going to call first because this has happenend to me many times before, but since it is fishing week and all i figured they would be stalked up. -
I bought a new BUCK filet knife last year for about 50.00. It has a folding 8" lock blade with a non slip rubber handle. I really like it because it takes so much less room in my tackle bag and is made with decent steel and really holds an edge.

Its been about 20 yrs since I have done that trip. It looks really low. Can't believe you didn't catch any walleye the river is polluted with them, and cats too. Going to have to do it again now. Thanks. Cats out of the bag now about the ski's

Testy bunch haha. I have probably 15 pks Of Slammers that I bought at Paddletails two summers ago and I have put them through their paces with limited success. They just dont seem that hot up here in my neck of the woods. Mostly river fishing but have tried them in the local lakes as well.
