  1. I would say thats a good deal. But I would address the bubbling immediately. My buddy has the same boat with a 50 evinrude and it get the two of us and gear around really nice. It's a tuff boat as well, we have beat the piss out of it over the years dragging it into lakes in Quebec.
  2. When the bite is slow for smallies I always go to a beetle spin with a small grub. Have won tournies when the bite was off and the weights were dismall. Then the question of the day is what were you using I threw everything in my box at em all day.
  3. Since your staying at Chipawa just head down the river out front to Conroy's marsh. You can play around there even when the wind is blowing and get into lots of panfish and largies. The marsh has canals cut all through it and its easy navigating, just keep your directions about you or you can get turned around in there quite easy. Pm me if you want some smallie spots. Lots of big fatties in there and the lake is absolutely beautiful.
  4. I have the same posts on my boat. A bit of sandpaper in the hole then wipe it out with a clean rag and your good to go. No need to use any lube as it just collects crud and makes things worse.
  5. well I did some more research on these and the ones that were given to me were the beefsteak morel. They say you should not eat this type. I talked to my chum who gave these to me and he said he had some yesterday morning in an omlette and no ill effects from them. He said if you don't want them he would be happy to take them back. I think I will play it safe and do so. But I think I will go and hunt for some real morel in the mean time.
  6. An aquaintance gave me some morels today. They were huge the size of my hand and looked like a brain. He assured me they are good to eat just fry them with butter and onion. so I google them before I cooked them and it says do not eat them, so of course I didn't. Apparently alot of people do eat them and don't get sick. Any of you guys have any experience with this shroom, and if so how do you prepare them?
  7. The Leafs went down because all the other teams gelled and stepped on the gas for the last 30 games. The Leafs were already WOT and couldn't respond. Just saying.
  8. I would look at the Arcteryx line which I am using now and am very pleased with. Also Helly Hansen makes good gear, that is specifically designed for sailing and boating.
  9. Looking to get a new barbe this summer. Heard good things about the Green Egg but don't know anyone who has one. Anyone here have one? And if so, how do you like it.
  10. Ah, maybe Mercman can help you out. You guys and your washing machines..
  11. Prop set up is a tricky thing. First you cannot lift your motor past high trim at wide open throttle. The motor has a built in safety feature that only allows you to use the trim phase only when the motor is running higher than about 2500 rpm. Get yourself a 21 pitch and try that before you start adjusting the motor height. Then go to bassboat .com and read the posts on prop setup. Lots of valuable info on there from some really knowledgable people. Not sure if a jack plate is going to help you much with a 115.
  12. It should not freeze if you make sure all the water has drained out of it after use. Keep it in the lowered position to drain and you should be fine.
  13. Hmmm my 175 Merc EFI has a primer bulb. A couple of pumps before the initial start up and I am usually good for the day. But every once in awhile, usually on a really hot day it will need to be primed again for easy starting.
  14. Irecommend Amzoil. Been using it in my 96 2 stroke from day 1 and my motor has never seen a mechanics hands except for scheduled maintenance.
  15. Dion is the saddest excuse for a capt I have seen in a long time. Running around slashing everone, then refusing to dance on numerous occasions last night. What a joke. Maybe someone should send him some old videos of former captain Wendle Clark. Im not a Leafs fan but always admired how Wendle led his teams.
  16. Im glad I bit the bullet last august and bought two of the old Chronarchs. I paid 250 each for them. I also grabbed a Curado 301 2011 model but had to pay full pop for that one. I think it was 275. I took the Curado on my salmon trip to B.C. last summer and it worked really well as my float reel for springs. I think I will call my reel guy and see if he has any old Chronarchs still kicking around. Not sure what MTBF was saying but all mt Curados were made in Japan.
  17. I was out on the Ottawa a few days ago fishing for eyes and got nada. We fished a regular summer spot that always produces, and had my doubts there would be any fish there this time of the year, guess I was right. Fished 20 ft with jig and minnow, moved around a few times but still no luck. I'm thinking there in 30 to 40 ft of water closest to their spawning areas maybe (staging), water is just above freezing. trolled a open shoreline back to the launch on the way home and caught a hammer handle. Any thoughts on where they might be. Have never fished the Ottawa this early in a boat.
  18. Go for it. They are awesome little cameras. Don't buy the cheaper cameras that are about 50 to 75 less. Cant remember the names of the others, but a few buddies have them and wish they had GoPro
  19. Charge your batteries and then do a specific gravity test. Maybe your batteries are getting a bit tired. If they are put some re-store in your batteries and recharge. The Re-store will bring them back like new.
  20. I went to service ontario and bought mine 3 weeks ago. Got my card in the mail last week. I wanted to keep my old card for a sovineir but she wouldn't give it back to me, said she had to keep it. Found that weird, what do they do with the old ones, through them in the garbage.
  21. Hes got 11 or 12 games to get in game shape, prepare for the playoffs. This will be the most critical time for his come back. If everything goes good, he will be ready. Once the playoffs start it take no prisoners and your name no longer matters.
