  1. I will look at the G3 as well. I have only heard good things about their boats. Are they all powered with yammys? That 200 sounds like a beast Roy, but I already have a V6 parked in the garage and the fuel costs are pretty sic. Thinking a 90 is a V4? I am starting to realize this isnt as popular a style of boat as I thought they were. Alot of manufactures dont make boats this size in a tiller cofiguration.
  2. Hey guys, I am thinking of buying an 18 ft tiller boat, motor, trailer package but am not sure what is available. I have sent a few emails to Lund dealers in the Ottawa area but havent heard back from them yet. What other manufactures make boats in the cofiguration? I definitely want aluminum since I river fish mostly with alot of rock and sand shorelines. I have had glass bassboats for the last 20 years and dont fish to many tournaments anymore and am thinking this type of boat would suit me fine. I would sacrafice a wheel for the extra fishing space any day of the week and am thinking the 90 hp would be the ticket since I do a fair amount of travel to my fishing spots. Can a kicker be put on these as well? Since I find myself doing more trolling in the last few years with good success. Hydraulic steering is a must since I can imagine the steering torque on a tiller of this size. I'm not interested in Princecraft, there pretty but thats about all as far as I am concerned. What I would want is something completely wired for electronics and engine guages, no carpets I'm done with that vinyl floor is prefered. Rod locker to store lots of rods up to 8 ft. Lots of dry storage, 24 volt minimum and most important a dry ride while running in rough water. Thanks in advance Mike.
  3. Hey guys thinking of hitting Muskrat Lake in Cobden on the weekend. Would like to try for some Lakers. I only have ever fished there during soft water for bass and never trout. Was looking at the MNR stocking list and they put 6600 yearlings in there pretty much every year.Just wondering what to use and which road to use closest to the fishing spot since we will be walking. Whats the ice conditions like and what do you use for bait.
  4. Rodbuilding.org has everything to help anyone learn the craft. Its a very informative site.
  5. Looking at homes this time of the year can be tricky. Most home inspectors wont get on a roof to inspect if there is snow on it. Watch for icicles they tell you alot about the insulation value in the attic. 20% down will save you paying CMHC mortgage insurance. First time buyers are also exempt from provincial land transfer tax. Get a good agent, if he/she is just opening doors for you with no imput on what their seeing while looking at homes with you, get a different one. No worries with a septic system and well if everything works and the water quality is good. Get the septic pumped at the Sellers expense if it hasnt been done in the last two years and get a water sample done. Do this yourself with guidance from your Realtor. Make sure your agent does a CMA (comparative market analysis) for you before you put in an offer to show you that the property is priced right. Why pay more than you have too. Sometimes agents will tell a Sellar there house is worth more than it is, to get the listing. And ask lots of questions, even if you think they are dumb. Also ask for an SPIS (seller property information statement) before making an offer, and go over it thoroughly with your agent. Buying a used home is like buying a used car, Buyer Beware. This is where a good agent will save you alot of grief down the road.
  6. Thanks for the info fellas.
  7. That was a clean hit for sure. The euros dont play a physical game but that doesnt mean they are angels either. They are masters of spearing without getting caught. They will use this on Canada to get retalliation penalties against us. They will also spit in your face during scrums which is very hard for officials to detect. Just a couple of differences in the way they play.
  8. Yep sounds like a plugged jet. Screw the jet in all the way counting the turns then back it out. You will probably notice the very small hole in the jet plugged.Spray it with WD and let it soak. Take a small wire, I use a twist tie and clean the hole out. Replace the jet and set it to where it was before. I would remove the bowl as well and clean it out, it has probably got gas varnish floating around in there.
  9. Merry Christmas everyone. I got a BB playbook from my g/f for Christmas. I was wondering if I am going to have any issues with it since my phone is an android. I still havent unpacked it yet but it came with a wireless keyboard as well. Any ibfo on these would be great since I have never used one before.
  10. I like to garnish my ceaser with a pepperette instead of the celery.
  11. 12 days of Christmas by Bob and Doug MacKenzie
  12. Will your fist fit in its mouth? If not its not 5 lbs.
  13. I have a BIG CHIEF and it works great. The heat stays low and in colder weather I put a cardboard box over it and a plastic bag over the box as well. The best part is you dont have to open it up to add chips. Mine is a top loader I prefer over the front load units.
  14. There all fads as far as I am concerned. Heres an idea for loosing weight and maintaining it. Dont eat anything with flour or sugar in the ingredients and get 1 hour a day of exercise. And remember moderation, its all about moderation as well.
  15. Welcome to the Gong Show.
  16. Good job Farmer, looks like things are slowly picking up a bit.
  17. Nice fish. speaking of Walleye has anyone been on the Ottawa River of late. I have been out twice this week and have been putting a beaten on them. Probably 20 fish in 6 hrs of fishing and the largest was 25 inch and the smallest about 18 inch. There deep 30 to 35 ft. Trolling TD-11 and reefers. Gold and black combo seems to be the hot colour. Sorry for h-jacking your thread.
  18. On ocassion I have had to use regular gas because the marina was out of hi-test. I lose about 4 or 5 mph at top end. I'm running a 175 EFI that requires hi-test fuel.
  19. I would also bet money the bass boat pilot was inexperienced. His bow was way to light when he was approaching the camera boats wake. If i'm not mistaken that is a Triton he was running and those things are pretty flighty at WOT to begin with.
  20. You lucky dog. Cant wait to see more pics.
  21. I had a estimate done in 2006 for a 19ft bassboat and it was 1200-1500 bucks. The reasoning was it was a very labour intensive job. I bought the material required for about 200.00 and did it myself. It turned out awesome but I put in about 60 hrs of labour to do it right.
  22. Out on the west coast they call them BEEKS or Beaks not sure on the spelling.
  23. I bet you got a great deal on that piece of crap. I haad one as well but didnt have the press to repair it properly.
  24. I heard the Frabill is good quality. My brother is a motorcycle enthusiast and he swears by his bike raingear. He says its cheaper than fishing raingear and has much better closures since its designed for keeping the water out at hiway speed. Go into a bike shop and see what they have to offer. I have XTEREX but it is quite pricey, no complaints here.
