Ricoboxing and I have been trying to hook up for a few weeks now, but unfortunately, he had some errands to run, so at the last minute, I decided to head out on my own. Well, with all the warm temps and lots of rain I was hoping that my local trib was higher than my ankles. I got down there at around 2pm and looked at the water. WOW!!! The levels were near normal! It was a bit dirty, but there was about a foot to 18" of visibility. I was glad I tied up larger roe bags in chartreuse and pink last night. I also wanted to field test a new pack I bought on ebay just before Christmas. Here's a pic. The front pouch has lots of storage in it. It's very lightweight and comfortable. My camera, and all my tackle fit in there. I got this pack for $5.00 plus $14 in shipping, so I'm quite happy with it. Anyhow, onto the fish. I went to one of my favourite spots and on the second drift, my float went down! Here's a pic of the fight on it's way in. A few minutes later, this little guy came in. There was nothing else coming in from that hole, so I moved along to another fav spot of mine and chatted with a guy fishing the opposite bank. I asked him how he's been doing and he said very slow. On my first drift, my float goes down and I landed a bigger one than my first. About 10 minutes later, in that same spot, I land another smaller fish. I didn't care how big they were...I haven't caught a fish since November...LOL. Anyhow...that was it...2 hours of fishing and 4 fish. I lost a few along the way for good measure as well, but it's sure felt good to hook into a few. Hopefully, this weather will hold up and I can get out a few times before the spring run.

Sleded and BBR's Birthday Bash - Non Fishing
ccmtcanada replied to Rich's topic in General Discussion
Happy birthday guys! Looks like you had a good time.... All in good fun! -
So....now that the year has ended, it's looking like the 2007 tourney is over. Are there plans to run another one for 2008? Is there any single person responsible for the final results? Fishinonthebrain did a great job keeping the standings going throughout the year. Many thanks go out to him. The last update showed Team 4 in the lead....followed by team 9 and 6.

MMMMM....fried SPAM....my favourite.

As long as fans continue to stream into the ACC, and the club makes all kinds of money, we will not see any worthwhile investment. As Bernie said, the problem lies above JFJ.

Great post hookset! And no, you did not sound like a knob. My father also passed away from cancer that spread to his brain back in 1995. Your post is timely for me as just this week I visited my dad's gravesite to chat with him about my familiy and life. Memories are all I have left of my father....I would give almost anything to have him back for 5 minutes so he could meet my wife and his grandchildren....just one time. I know he'd be proud....he fished a LOT when he was alive and I'm happy that his last fishing trip was with my and my younger brother before he passed. I also have no regrets....great memories...and that will suffice until we meet again one day.

Wow...that's terrible news! Sounds like someone was looking out for them all though from your description. I'm very happy to hear that things worked out as good as they could have in this situation. Here's to a speedy recovery!

I've fried my share of computers in my day as well. The best was when a power supply sent pretty blue sparks out of the case. I've fried motherboards and hard drives as well. It's a special talent of mine.

MEPPS REPORT - WEEDLESS TREBLE update - Multi-fishy
ccmtcanada replied to snag's topic in General Discussion
Great report Snag! So this was the secret lure you would never show me when we fished together....thanks for not sharing it til now! They look awesome...and they sure do seem to work well! -
Great thread Steve! Here are a few of my pics.... Kawartha opener with my daughter...no fish in this pic, but it shows what fishing with family is all about....spending time together..... In late December 2006, I decided to try my luck at float fishing for Steelhead. After about 10 times out with no fish, it took the teachings of CanadianCopper to finally break my steelie skunk. It's not big, but it was my first of many to land last year. It was -18C (-25 with the wind chill), but we persevered!! Our first ever trout opener...on a nice, small, out of the way trib. Not huge numbers of fish, but no crowds!! Here's a few nice shots.... Lakair was a highlight for bly and I...here are a few pics.... The group shot.... Basskicker gave us a canoe this past summer and we had a great time finally getting off the shorelines! It's not often you can get a 5 year old to stay seated in a canoe, but she did great....here's a pic of her first fish from our canoe... The fall came and bly and I went after Salmon for the first time ever. She ended up catching this gorgeous Brown Trout.... Here's Bly's PB Salmon...what a monster!!! (The fish...not bly....LOL) Here's my PB Salmon...man these fish are strong!!! My second ever Muskie and my PB..... Solopaddler took me Steelhead fishing this past fall, and WOW...the scenery and fishing was great! Here's one of my favourite shots.... One of Bly's nicest fall walleye...from one of our secret shore spots.... A nice Walleye for me as well....my PB by length came in a 33.5 inches. To top it all off...bly and I bought our first boat together....cant wait til spring!!
-
Wow! Another PB!! Great report Joey...and Terry, that's a great photo edit job.....looks amazing! I'll have to send you a pic or two....LOL. Thanks for the report Joey....I can see you're gearing up to win the Tyler even this year!!
