  1. Great report! Glad I could help as far as the motor stand was concerned....great addition having those big wheels on it! Love the test pic....maybe Terry can photoshop a pic in there for you....LOL.
  2. What a great first report!! Welcome back to the site...hope you decide to stick around. Great story writing, great pics....it's all there. I hope to see many more reports from you this year!

  4. Glen....the shirtless posts return. I was hoping we'd have a good month before this happened.... Great report and pics as always...too bad the wimmins didn't wanna fish with you!!
  5. Wow....great report!! Awesome pictures, some fish caught and lots of smiles...a recipe for a great long weekend. Congrats on a great one!
  6. MMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Ribs.
  7. Wish I could afford to!!
  8. Looked like a great weekend all around Mike! Friends, family and fishing....doesn't get much better than that. Great pics too...thanks for taking the time to post this one!
  9. Those public boards are great!! We had a travel board in the community center at University of Western Ontario. There were two sections.....one for people looking for rides and one for drivers who were available. I used that service to get from London to the Toronto area many times early on and then took on passengers once I got a car in my last few years there.
  10. Hey Stoty....keep your eye here.... http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/tix/ Good luck.
  11. Ahem.....jeez...you call this being discreet? I'll call the doc asap. Just let me know what day and when and I'll come by and see you....preferably after 4pm if possible?
  12. Great idea Gerritt! I carpool with someone every weekday. Just drop her off at the subway station as she works downtown TO. It does help offset the price of gas.....
  13. Sounds like you are going to have a great time! Stay safe and remember....lots of pics!!!
  14. Dan...I'm with you. There are a few things I don't attempt if I'm not sure about something. One is electrical stuff....I know how to do basic stuff, but if I'm unsure, I get my buddy over to do it. The other thing is brakes on the car....I keep getting told they are easy, but until I learn how to do it properly, I'm not putting me or my family in jeopardy to save a few bucks.
  15. Sounds like too much line on your spool. or One thing I do when casting a spinning reel is I hold the line on the rod with my index finger, and then open the spool.....that way there is a little tension between that spot and the reel. The line shouldn't "loop" off. When I cast, I just take my index finger off the line.
  16. Them's fightin' words!!! LOL
  17. I heard the same thing from my local tackle shop....he suggested using at least 30lb power pro. He said that 20lb is really thin and can groove the eyes.
  18. Hey now...the barbie rod kicks butt!!! LOL
  19. Good stuff! I know you were out there to test your canoe setup right? Fishing was secondary and you still got into a few. Success on all accounts!
  20. I use 20 and 30 lb power pro....and I have never had a problem.
  21. I currently use a 30lb Minn Kota transom mount...one that I used with our canoe. It ROCKED in the canoe and is fine on very calm days in my 14 foot tinny. If I had the cash I'd be getting me a 45 lb thrust.
  22. Use the Palomar Knot.... http://www.animatedknots.com/palomar/index.php
  23. Wow...you guys had a great night/morning out there! Congrats on a successful outing. That mirror carp is quite the specimen!! I wouldn't go as far as say it was nice looking, but it's a hell of a lot less ugly....LOL.
  24. LOL.... Poor Mike.... HAHAHAHAHA
