  1. Works for me....we split the $100,000 50/50 if we win? LOL
  2. Seems wrong....but I wonder what the ramifications are.... So, can it be called the HNIC theme if HNIC is owned by CBC? If the theme is synonymous with HNIC can someone else use it for hockey?...is it part of the identity of the show? Hmmmmm...... Then again, it's just a song right?
  3. Heard on 680 news on the way home that the restaurant has had all kinds of complaints from across Canada. They have officially apologized to her and to the Canadian Cancer Society and they want her back at work. They are also changing their policies to encourage any employee to get involved with charities.
  4. John....in photobucket, just click on the IMG section of code and then paste it right in your report where you want the pic to show up.
  5. I talk to fish all the time....just ask Bly....that's where I got the title "Fish Whisperer" that's under my avatar. In shallow waters like tribs and areas very close to shore, I merely talk to the water. When fishing deeper waters it is necessary to hold the line and talk...the vibrations go all the way down the line so they can hear what your saying at deeper depths. Now you KNOW that I'm crazy....LOL.
  6. I think some people didn't read it to the end and chose to bite their tongues about OOS fish. I have to admit though....you had me going there....hehe.
  7. Nice report Will...and that is one big slab you got there! Good luck on your fly-in....really looking foward to the pics and story behind that trip! We'll chat all about it fishing for carp closer to home once you're back...hehe.
  8. Bly does pretty good with great eater sized browns thru July and August from shore.
  9. Awesome report! Complete with pics and video....pretty sweet I'd say. Must be great living in an area where bass are open all year round. I'd head up your way to bass fish, except it would take me all day just to get there...not much time for fishing after that....LOL.
  10. Hey John! Great report...and welcome to the board...I saw you commented on the OFC Anthem thread...so thanks for that. Remember your camera next time!!!
  11. Great report JB and nice to see some pics with it! If you had posted that sunburn pic earlier, that would have made it into that video instead of the sunscreen...I suppose I could edit it and repost....LOL. Great to hear all the help you had at the ramp....sure helped restore what was seemingly a disaster into a day of fishing. Nice pickeral and crappie!! Hope the sunburn heals quickly...I got a little more sun than I wanted to yesterday....I'm thinking sunscreen is a good idea next time out. Thanks for the report!
  12. Wow!! Another incredible report. I can relate to the whole "I need a snack" thing too....that's what we hear a lot when we have the little one with us. Everything from the hitting those mines to seeing the abondoned camp, to seeing your new PB....kept me riveted. I saw you posted a while ago, but I find I have to find a good chunk of time to read your reports...don't want to skim over these. I still say you should write a book about your adventures.....
  13. I was thinking the same thing about you being a dickhead....LOL. Awesome story John....and like someone else already said...that's the best report that never happened. I hope to read one just like it....minus the hook in your thumb, later this year.
  14. She's trying a new tactic...makes it easier for live releases if you don't actually hook them.
  15. Very nice new ride! Nice crack on the inheritence....LOL...had me laughing this morning....
  16. Sturgeon yesterday afternoon was around 72F in about 6 to 8 ft of water.....around 68 in deeper sections.
  17. Dan...what a great report! That's some serious flooding in those first pics. The conditions were tough and you didn't get into the bows, but you sure know how to boat fish!
  18. Fantastic report 007! Good to see reports again. Congrats on the trout...must have been a nice surprise for you. After reading what it's like to fish there, we here in in Ontario are very fortunate that we don't have to pay just to fish a certain area. Looking foward to the next report already!
  19. Wow....beautiful pics....both scenery and fish! You sure know how to get those trout!
  20. We saw you leaving the launch as we were coming in. We waved, but you didn't see us. At least I think that was you...were you with 2 other guys? You did better than we did out there that's for sure...LOL.
  21. Great stuff!! Fishing, family and a fish fry...doesn't get much better than that!
  22. My little one couldn't wait to head back up to Big Cliff's place today. The plan was to take the boat up, and change the impeller. The motor is 25 years old and I had no idea when the last time that little part was changed, so before taking it up to Lakair, I decided that it had to be changed. We left the house at around 930am, and arrived there just after 1030. It was already HOT and humid outside, so this little job was going to be uncomfortable. After figuring out how to get the lower unit off the motor, we got to changing the impeller itself. We had a few times where we got stumped, but it's amazing what information is the manual, under the "Changing the Impeller" section. LOL. Neither of us had done this before, but BITEME said it was easy....hehe. We finally had the part changed and tested the motor in a garbage can and it all worked out great! Even though the old impeller looked ok, the motor now pees like it's had 6 beers and no trips to the bathroom. We ended up launching the boat at a nearby marina (who wouldn't take our money to launch once he found out we were spending the day with Big Cliff) and got out on the water at about 2:30. Our little one was going for panfish with a small jig tipped with a worm, and bly and I went after eyes with larger ones. Every once in a while, I threw a musky bait to see if I could get one. As it turned out, bly and I were skunked....and the little one caught 6 perch!! We headed in at around 6pm to the smell of a roast cooking in the kitchen. Sue put together an awesome dinner (good thing we weren't planning on a fish fry...LOL) and we spent a great evening chatting. We ended up staying later than we originally anticipated because our place was under a tornado watch with all kinds of severe weather, but the storm was moving at 70kph and we left at 930pm. We got home by 1045...tired, but we had an amazing day. My little one said her favourite part of the day was snuggling with Big Cliff while watching movies....it was very cute. Now you've done it Cliff....she'll be pestering us to go back up there for a sleepover. Thanks Cliff and Sue....once again we had a great time.
  23. Feeders and boilies are what Bly and I use for carp. Carp can be very choosy at times....one day they cant leave your stuff alone and the next they are off feeding....keep at it!
  24. hehe...why do you think I started playing guitar? My mom had me playing piano, but I found it was a bit too large to take camping
  25. Sweet ride and congrats! I was just looking in a magazine at that lineup of boats and thought that would be ideal for our family. You'll have great times in that boat I'm sure!
