  1. A grenade'd the transmission in my '98 SLT a few weeks ago... found another ('98 Z71) truck in Cambridge and then spent 6 full days swapping parts, blade mounts and wiring harnesses to carry on with "winter" !
  2. Enjoyed a leisurely 1 hr 30 minutes in the plow truck this afternoon.. sun shining, heat on, music playing.. nothing broke for a change.. lol We only got 3 inches.. .about time the table was turned for once!
  3. Lost my sunflower cover grill into 93 feet of water... got it back after about 20 minutes of blind bottom bouncing with a monster tube and 7/0 hooks!
  4. Yep... it'll either clear or the jar will be empty, which ever happens first!
  5. Bruce, we have many a family member that can't deal with things. My own step father, front and foremost, that I've disowned in the past 4 years. Leah's father not far behind.... but I give them the benefit of the doubt of that's how they need to deal with things in relation to their upbringing and age category.... and I have way too much on my plate to read anything else into their views. Those I've previously befriended here that don't get it.... well I'd get banned for that response! Enjoy the time you have.... TODAY! Get out there... do what you need to do! Who knows what tomorrow brings and care less who sees you dancing!
  6. Yet we have a guy in Temagami selling Walleye at every Saturday market... and the MNRF doesn't care..
  7. my most memorable "take a kid to work day" Adam. Lower Rideau circa 1977... CO pulling up on a 26'r. and asking "Have you caught anything"?. Not much was the response. I stayed in the ministry boat with my father while the CO boarded the other boat. Multiple x the limit in the cooler. CO asked.. where did you launch the boat and the owner stated at the Rideau Ferry launch. "I don't like to do inspections on the water, so lets go back to the dock". Next was.. " how did you get the boat here" and what followed was "that's my Caddy over there with the trailer". CO asked "have you got the keys?" and before I knew it my father had the trailer on the ramp, boat loaded and gone. I rode back to Lanark with the CO in the ministry truck. That Caddy, boat and trailer stayed locked up in Lanark for over 3 years.
  8. Sounds like it still has gas.... there should be an adjustment screw. Pull the seat off the pedestal. Turn the actuator screw in a turn or two. Sounds like when you sit on it the lever hits the screw shooting it up.
  9. Fire and Rain is too depressing.. his girlfriend in the mental house killed herself thinking he'd abandon her. I listened to that right before "you've got a friend"! Valdy is always a great listen...
  10. My best BBQ spot....
  11. I was a chicken catcher out in North Gower.. in another life! I still can't sing...
  12. I won't do it for you Drew.. but Bren.. that's another story! Done..
  13. They are already doing that.. shooting drones. FAA is trying to put an end to it as it's a commercial use...
  14. You'd better have it loaded and ready to go then... as you know that's a given on just about any day!
  15. I'm bringing my Spanish double barrel 12 gauge to the lake.. in case Terry gets any ideas !
  16. Don't take the coverage off your vehicle RC... tell them you are parking it and want fire and theft only. That way your coverage has never lapsed and when the first 2 infractions are "too old" they will then reinstate you back as you were, or closer to it.
  17. My wife gets that all the time in her '64 Stingray Dave... but once they see my name on the ownership they're GONE !
  18. He's busy lighting the stove Shayne !
  19. Well Bruce.. I was going to stay away from this, but since you brought up my name.......as you said "forget the bonehead dickering, etc". I've spent not a day, a week nor a year... but well over 4 years sitting in hospitals watching the life get sucked out of a kid, her two siblings and my wife ....while finding little opportunity to work and make money to pay the bills on my end as that's what "dad" is supposed to do. Apparently there's a few I've alienated in some way or form, that went from friends to enemies in a short 4 years, and frankly I don't really care. If they can't deal with the realities of what I'm going though, then they weren't friends in the first place. I have the ones that have stuck by me, have gone out of their way to pick me up from hospitals to hit the BOQ together, they understand why their fishing trip North got cancelled not once but three times, or is currently on hold until a days notice.... and I will enjoy the many laughs we have as we hit the ice or waters together in the coming months and years as I know they'll still be on "speed dial"! And it's good to see that Matt found that revelation that I told him he would. Not sure if it's an age thing, or where it comes in... but I think I've noted it before. I've gone from someone that couldn't sit in a chair for 10 minutes without getting up and looking out front and back door of the house, to someone that can sit in a waiting room, hospital room or a cabin corner for hours on end and I don't even need a fishing magazine to keep my brain engaged while there!
  20. Issue is 312.. your insurance company doesn't care if it's points or not. 3 "infractions" and you get dropped like a stone.. refused coverage and then moved to another company to keep them from full filling the governments regulation that a company can't raise you more than 20% on premiums after 3 infractions. Instead they just drop you... then pass you on to a "sister" division at triple the rate.. ask my wife how that works.. LOL. As noted a lot earlier in this post... I was through Peterborough that morning.. entered about 7:45.. left about 10:45.. Lights ON! Although at the time of infraction...and the pictures of the OP.. he shouldn't have been ticketed. It's not always headlights for oncoming... many times it's no tail lights and you could drive right into the back of someone. It certainly wasn't anywhere near that bad on Saturday!
  21. Doesn't matter where you go Emil... has nothing to do with seeing fish. 4 guys fishing an entire lake mid week on sleds... 3500 miles of shoreline... and this guy pulls up in his truck, pulls his Clam out of the back and sets up 60 feet from Terry. Never even says hello! Joke was on him this round... it was a spot we'd never fished and we just stopped there to give ita try and have lunch. No fish, or structure, there!
  22. They are Terry.. the list them line by line on the bill ! LOL
