  1. They needed you at work to work overtime..... to pay for your fishin toys.
  2. Come on Doug....hurry up....get packin that bug gear..LOL Memories Doug...Memories in the making....
  3. If you are talking full boat steering auto pilot....put the boat in gear and follow a course...yes it's out there...been out there for well over decade. Had a tool maker with a large sailboat that ran a race on Lake O that way. Once around the markers to plot the course and everyone below deck to drink...at least 'till they got disqualified. There was a guy at Picton when we were all down there in November that had it on his Ranger. Plug in the way points on the screen of his Lowrance and that's where the boat takes him. Be great for solo fishing your favourite lake that's for sure. Think it's the only option I missed when ordering my new Lund.
  4. Possibly tomorrow Lew...but not today. Waiting for a customer this morning.
  5. Good 'ol Cam Wolley is sayin 2am now before it might be out of there....
  6. Last report from today was only 5.5 inches on Callander Bay, where the hut operations are. Not thick enough for the bungaloos yet..
  7. Don't be Jack...13 years of memories are a good thing...well right up to when I backed over him with the truck anyhow.
  8. Brings back some emotions..but Probably not a big help...but brought both a smile and a frown to my face Jack !
  9. I think the pro/con of photoshopping a background should be taken to a seperate thread. Why beat this kids posts to death every time....
  10. The lake has finally skinned over. Give it a few days to be safe guys if you don't know the lake WELL ! Borrowed these pictures from "Bush-pilot" off the Ottertooth site. He flies Air ambulance and goes over almost daily. Ferguson Bay with a bit of open water on Saturday Afternoon..pretty sure that's Red Squirrel Lake in the background... The Northeast Arm looking West. Those are the Broom Islands and the open expanse of water is my summer Laker trolling area...most is 140 FOW or better. Looking North from Narrows Island at the entrance to the SouthWest Arm. Narrows Island is the land mass in the lower right quarter...so that would make the Island 3/4 of the way up the right side of the shot Cattle Island and behind it the Bear Island Reserve. The land in the left of the picture is mainland between Lake T and Gull Lake This means that those that use them, like Moosebunk, may actually be able to get down to Tamar vacations island very soon.
  11. TJ...U can take Long Point off your list. Tom is going on a well deserved fishing retirement and Troy is heading for realestate sales. U can probably thank outragious commercial aviation insurance to some point for packing it in.....
  12. Dang...where'd that pill bottle go? Spring can't come fast enough.....
  13. I'd imagine Temagami Shores has some rooms available, with the trails not open yet for sledders. Also Loon Lodge right where you were fishing. Aaron....send me a PM. I'll be up there in March as well, with a gang...that doesn't sound good but heck these guys together will look like one!
  14. Glad I didn't head for the boat show today Lew....you had the right idea...stayin home!
  15. Thanks Mike...Good to hear mine's not there. I can stop taking Valium now...LOL
  16. Geeze Peter...you'd better get working on more docking for the next OFC G2Gether ! LOL Enjoy it Peter/Charmaine...you worked hard for it... no luck involved!
  17. I'm "working" at home today as well. Kinda "Lew" style....LOL
  18. You won't have to worry who's reading over your shoulder!!! LOL Just snow up here..3 or 4 inches. Thought we were getting lucky as the ground was bare a midnight.
  19. I guess I should get out there and at least shovel the path from the back door to the workshop.....to make it look like I did something out there today! LOL Guess I may need to plow the laneway as well...dang... No Eddy...never worked outside during the winter...unless I wanted to...
  20. Guess it all depends how good the taxidermist is I guess and how patient he is waiting for it to dry out before painting. I had mine done by a young lad that was just starting out back in 1983 in Milton. For a $100, I think it was, he did my Chinook that I caught under the Bronte Creek Bridge in Oakville. Not the greatest job...but it looks exactly the same 23 years later (other than some broken fin tips)!
  21. Thanks for the report Drifter. Pretty good since that was open water not more than 4 days ago !! Good to see weather normality has finally returned in the north. Did you have a good lock under the seat mounts for the camera?
  22. I'm not worried at all Remo! It's not supposed to be there. I'm just curious if Lund was stupid enough to take it anyhow... since they really wanted a Baron at the show.
  23. I see the cute part...but what's that thing with the long ears! LOL
