Can go at either end Lew, just pull the switch out you want to be a dimmer and replace it wire for wire onto the new dimmer. I have had them throughout the house for 20 years, but as Kenny advised make sure you get the latest greatest for those LED's. Have Diane stand there with a broom stick or turn off the power, either method works!

If you want to go out to the island Rob you're welcome to them... they leave an awful mess! The 9 of them usually hang out around the slide...

Good shooting! I just reach and touch them to make them get off my deck !

how to get 05 sieera truck fan to activate
irishfield replied to mr blizzard's topic in General Discussion
Yes... forgot about that Dan, did that on this liberty to make sure I wasn't chasing a ghost. -
Bruce Ward would never understand.... just the way our GBay CO is. And if you only have a conservation licence he'll charge you with possession just for taking the picture. Some stupidity never ends... but he does get paid to go to court.

how to get 05 sieera truck fan to activate
irishfield replied to mr blizzard's topic in General Discussion
Lots of confusion with Jeeps... took me days of wasted reading to determine that on this vintage of Jeep libertys the speedo is fed off the rear diff sensor or at least was on the 2005 I was working on with no ABS. Many jeep forums have guys going in circles swapping out transfer case senders only to find out their rear axle sender harness was grounded out against the e brake cable. Owner had no speedo at all when I told her I'd look at it and it's still working 5 months later is all I know. First replacing the sender and repairing some wiring (which made it intermittent) and then fixing the quick plug contact for a permanent fix. -

Jeep speedo is the speed sensor on the rear differential, or more likely the wiring harness from it to the body is either chafed on the emergency brake cable or broken. It gets 12 v in and puts out 0.8V (if I remember correctly) back out to the computer as it counts teeth on the sensor wheel on the ring gear. This one drove me nuts and in the end was determined to be the sensor pin to socket connection was a loose fit. -
Exactly what I have in my Lund Craig.. It's in all summer and I take it out come fall to dry both it and the floor out. Then it's Musky time until ice in with the vinyl floor. Pending it's state I either vacuum the carpet and roll it up for the winter or power wash it, let it dry and then roll up.

Great for a chuckle, but you know damn well Mike that someone is going to take snipits of that video and use them against you at some point in time. Unfortunately that type is out there amongst us... kinda like election campaigning.

Always nice to find stuff in the yard, wish someone would find my 25th anniversary leatherman knife. As Steve points out... some old stuff brings back good memories. I still have my Heinz 57 tomato juice truck. It was generally left outside as a kid and then my kids left it outside in the sand box and when that era ended I finally tucked it away. Like old cars they're only original once, so I can't bring myself to restoring this and lowering it's value. Given to my father when he was a Loblaw store manager in either 1963 or 1964. My brother had the matching Ketchup truck, but he has no idea where it got to. Wish we had both for a matched promo set.

2150 Lund Baron 275 Verado 9.9 Kicker and lots of other heavy stuff. Fishing gear alone probably 300 to 400 pounds. Generally I run it about 65 MPH, but sometimes I get up to 80 when I pull out to pass. Once off loaded at the launch I like to cruise it at 34 MPH as it's the sweet spot for economy on the 275 Verado at about 9.8 usGPH which is a LOT less fuel than my old 115 2 stroke Johnson burnt just pushing a 17' Glastron at the same speed. But if I feel like burning gas or racing the bass boats it'll do 53 mph while drinking 32 usGPH.

What Is The Purpose Of This Boat Engine/Transom Setup? NF
irishfield replied to alexmedic's topic in General Discussion
Was just going to say that's how they build the Kingfisher. Temagami Marine has a few in the showroom right now, although I'm not overly keen on the look of the hull to side panel welds. -
I put our 12' 1958 Reynolds Aluminum in the lake on the 2nd of Sept and pulled it out this afternoon. Not a drop of water after 16 days and during two of them it rained and then evaporated in the 26C temps. Never bailed it. Now I couldn't say that before I reset every rivet in 2005! It's a crap shoot but it seems that the guys have nailed it down pretty good already. My 2007 Lund doesn't leak a drop, has ZERO corrosion and the paint still looks like the day it came out of the factory. It's not a garage queen, it's tied to a dock and in the water for 5+ straight months and then used in late fall (breaking ice if need be) for Musky fishing on a sometimes very mean Georgian Bay (I've shown Terry how to ride 10' swells on the crest!). It runs "dry" through heavy seas, etc but as others have noted the new Lund stuff being built doesn't seem as well produced, although I wouldn't dismiss them as a possibility. I had my head in some 1725's just yesterday helping at the marina. Not sure where I would turn if I was looking current day, but Legend and Tracker would be nowhere on my list.

Last Minute Camping/ Fishing/ Family desitination?
irishfield replied to wask's topic in General Discussion
4 hours would put you easily in Marten River PPark and 4hr 25 in Finlayson PPark in Temagami. Both have swim beaches and calm water for a car topper, although both might be a bit further than you want to go. -
John, you and I know it's not a better place for us at this point in time. Our girls maybe. Trudge forward, head high and it will all work out in the end. As a good friend kept telling me "it's all a test". There are no study notes!

Still the most used browser on the internet, works everywhere else. -
Nice "couple" of fish! Great stuff msp... I'm gonna try my first cast of the seaon tomorrow night!

Either do I... I've put full waves right down the floor center of my 2150 Baron, on both Georgian Bay and Lake Temagami. Some days it's not enough boat for the job. It does seem odd for Lund to do this boat in aluminum, when they have been doing the Tyee and ProV for a few years now in glass as well as aluminum. Unless they've decided it's time to go back to what they know!

Some people just love eating wind and water Mike!

Thanks Bassassin.... none of this was in the "parent's handbook", you just have to make it up as you go along. This sharing thing just started out as a way to keep me sane, but it certainly started a movement. Thanks to everyone for putting up with me for 5 years. Here's the guest of honour from yesterday. -
