  1. LOL.. my "funny" yesterday was being in Sears... and a women at the check out yells to the whole store. "I'M DONE MY CHRISTMAS SHOPPING..YAHOO". And then the cashier says.. "I'm sorry Mam.. but your Mastercard has been declined, do you have another card" ! Gave me a chuckle at the time, but sad all the same. Christmas has got out of hand.. and you can't spend what you don't have folks!
  2. Well many times they are... they run on adrenaline when they hear the bell ring...... like a steelhead junky on his way to New York. !!
  3. Didn't know you went to Betty Ford for a bad case of the Mod Q Blues WSB !
  4. Just make sure Paul has new batteries in the truck !! Not sure how many trips we'll get in this year. I've got a LOT of work in the shop this winter.... to get done before the first of May.
  5. My big guy (37") came on a 6" long white tube!! If you're getting whities.. sounds like you're banging bottom or there abouts. Get your bait up higher... Another thing we found last year... you may mark lots of fish that won't commit... but you've gotta match the hatch for bait. If you do get a keeper, open it's stomach and see what they're eating!
  6. My guess is the same CO's that work the Kawartha's in the summer will now be working it in the winter !!
  7. Ted... do some reading ! Been MANY posts already.. regs are up on MNR website etc. It's panfish and coarse fish only... starting Jan 1st
  8. Ted.. will change everytime you pack it up.. depending how you tuck the material in before putting the cover on the wear spot will be different. Lloyd and I beat the hell out of our equipment last March. Pole pivot bolts sheared off and or lost.. tents worn through.. UHMW runners sheared off.. auger head coming off gear box.. etc.. etc. Only thing that we didn't break was our sleds. Damage and extra hammering was thanks to a flash freeze from slushy to solid in less than an hour and then 5 days of pounding stuff on that at 50 MPH. We did about 400 KM of travel in 5 days.
  9. If he doesn't remember the day, or many of the ones before hand..... does that still make him 13??
  10. Funny.. Frabil has no issue shipping to Canada! lol I'm sure one of our US friends here would order for you and reship Geoff... How bad is the tent?? I had a lot of wear holes, from towing for a 1000 KM last winter, were the tubes rubbed through. Tent patch kit worked well to cover them up.. at least so far. I put the patches on late March and I opened it yesterday and they're still in place.
  11. Guess I'd better get the hyfax runners onto my hut and the flip tube hardware all changed over to aircraft bolts/nuts. Sounds like it's almost go time..
  12. He was online earlier today...edumacation must have been over for the day! Was thinking of a trip to that lake myself...
  13. I have a "warm fuzzy" feeling I know where he's been this week as well...
  14. What... you thought I was inviting you back ! LMAO ! Lloyd.. Lloyd.. you packed yet??? lol
  15. 8 inches of ice from town to my place.. and my neighbour even has our parking plowed at the dock (so that the ice can get thicker not being insulated by snow)!
  16. All that is covered under the house policy liability. If they take a header off the trailer tongue.. the house policy will be in effect for the lawsuit from the Nancy next door that wants to get rich instead of disiplining their brat for cracking their head open. Boat coverage itself... if you can afford for someone to hook up to it and leave on you.. take the insurance off. If not then it's cheap "insurance".

  18. Roy is rarely wrong Rick. Had this one pegged all along...
  19. Thanks Cliff !! Told you it was better.... Now I wonder if it gave me enough spirit to bash thru the mall today !! lol
  20. More than a few on there that I know personally... and some are under paid for what they do.. and the hours spent doing it. David James... senior engineer for the city of Barrie. Have known him for about 16 years.. he's been with the city the whole time and has drawn darn near every street and intersection that exists today in Barrie. Has no livelyhood...gave up trying to get his airplane finished.. as he works about 70 to 75 hours a week for his $102K. Less than $29 an hour for a highly qualified, world travelled, Civil Engineer. He should have been a CO ! LOL The disclosure cap should be raised to 150/175.
  21. Welcome aboard Mark !! Hoping your boat ad will stick now! lol
  22. Looks like $599 retail T Fisher.. guy on Craiglist wants a $1000...
  23. He wanted to know if he was doing it right.....
