  1. ATTITUDE Bruce.. it's all I can tell you, other than there's lots of places in Hospitals to go hide and have a good cry! Good luck!
  2. Luckily you got your wake up call... many don't get the luxury!! My brother found himself in a similar position MS.. 100% blocked RCA, quint bypass, and the good thing out of all that.. he now walks 10KM a day without his heart rate rising at a speed I need a bike to keep up to him. My sister missed her call... Get well soon, the fish will be still there and you'll have the energy of a bear to chase them further up stream with your lad!
  3. I just can't believe someone joined the board for this... Spiel... can't say enough good about the guy, workmanship or heart.
  4. Thanks guys! For those interested... she thinks she has the spunk to do the Gutsy Walk again this year to raise money for Crohn's. Please donate if you can.... https://secure.ccfcfindthecure.ca/ParticipantPage.aspx?PID=25221&L=2&CCID=107&GC=GTv2 If anyone has any questions you can email her at joshea.designs @ gmail.com (remove the spaces both sides of the @). I send you direct for questions as I was supposed to be gone already.. now heading out to camp tomorrow.
  5. Kristal and I in the canoe on a fly in back lake... she caught her 44.5 x 17 pike about 2 hours later! Hope to be in that exact spot in about 2 days!
  6. Grab a shoal chart ! Late ice out (last week).. water is currently high.. lakers will still be SHALLOW on June 14th. Either the depth a Len Thompson spoon runs (7 to 8 feet) or if things stay warm you might need to add 20 feet to that with a rigger or dipsy.
  7. How long did it take M to blow that up.... )
  8. Just an FYI... pressure treated no longer has cyanide in it and why it was a no no for floating docks (trailer bunks) in the past. The current wood technology isn't any more harmful than regular wood to water. That said... the new formulation is extremely detrimental to aluminum and even more so galvanized steel. Why all hanger brackets and post straps for decks have been changed to stainless. The PT will even eat regular screws.
  9. Thanks folks.. had her three month, since skull surgery, check up yesterday... nothing new to report other than supper at the York St Keg cost me $160
  10. Jen was asked to be the guest speaker to kick off the relay for life program at the local Catholic Highschool And her latest... please watch and share with all you know, we'll get her to California yet!
  11. Don't spill too much beer on it.. or have a Bruins fan throw any at you! LOL
  12. Yah.. this is messed up Brian... Millard was one of many aviators that stated if you want to retire with a few dollars in aviation, start with a lot of dollars ! Things don't add up here.....
  13. Have a #27 Corson Jersey here that Corson's mother had both him and Darcy Tucker sign (after Shayne was out of uniform) and then donate to a Crohn's auction. Also have a Gilmore Jersey.. signed...... dont' wear that Jersey Dan ! http://www.sportsmemorabilia.com/sports-products/dion-phaneuf-autographed-toronto-maple-leafs-jersey.html http://www.sportsmemorabilia.com/sports-products/dion-phaneuf-autographed-leafs-pro-jersey.html
  14. My fault... opened the pool yesterday ! Not looking promising for getting North on Thursday...
  15. Darren.... I haven't fished it, but hope to be in camp Thursday night. If I am.. you can give me a ring and I'll at least meet you at the gas station to say hello. If it just rings.. we're not there.. but if you get the machine we are in camp so leave a message with ETA for Temagami (exactly an hour from North bay @ 100kmph). I'll PM you the number.
  16. Prayin the count down is still correct... 5 days !! :o)

  17. It's not syphoning, just pumping at a pressure that while mid range doesn't make the cut off point of the pressure switch. Easy to do with yard hydrants... that I can get the plus side of 10 GPM out of, but if using standard hose outlets you need two of them running to stop the pressure from rising enough to kick off the pump. Just lucky to be on a good water supply here, on a 185 foot deep drilled well, that I can suck that amount of water per day out of the earth!
  18. Shane... you have to find a point in the output, that the pressure drops to kick the pump on and then the flow is such that while the pressure will then rise as the pump runs that it never reaches the cut off point. Saves wear and tear on both the pump and the pressure switch if the pump just keeps running. Something I learned many eons ago when I had a stupid neighbour attached to OUR well that would put put one sprinkler in her garden on leave it on all day, After she burnt out the second pump.. the line got cut!
  19. Courtney, Boville or Saunders? Regardless.. worth some money, possibly $650! Just like my handful of King George 10 dollar bills from the late 1800's .
  20. Just shop at Gramp's... 6 miles short of Temagami... you'll get a better selection!
  21. Exactly.. if you ever water your yard or garden from a well you don't want the pump kicking on and off.. on and off.. you set it for a flow that keeps the pump running at a mid level continous pressure. The last thing you want is your pump kicking on and off pumping 10,000 gallons of water in a day. You want it to run continuous and what you are suggesting won't work for anyone watering their lawn or filling a pool in a matter that minimizes pressure switch cycles and pump damage.
