I transport my boat fully deflated in my SUV along with motor, battery or gas tank depending on which motor I use for that trip. At the launch site, I inflate the boat with a Milwaukee M18 Blower and then top up the pressure with the supplied hand pump making the whole experience significantly less tiring at the very start. I have installed launching wheels on my boat to allow two people to roll the boat into the water from my setup area. Note that bolted on launching wheels will not work on your Intex boat which has no transom. Even with wheels I can assure you that hauling 200 lbs back up a ramp at the end of the day is quite an ordeal. To deflate I use the Blower to suck the air out making it easier to pack and transport.

After figuring out that the 16awg cord can handle up to 1,200 watts (120v x 10 amps) your next step is to figure out how many watts the old string of lights will use. For example, assuming each bulb uses 5 watts then you should be able to power up 240 bulbs (1200 watts divided by 5 watts each).

Sometimes I don't know which one smells worse MJL's secret recipe or the carp itself. Victor's is pretty potent too. Whew!!! I did find that the carp in Long Sault and Waddington NY didn't smell very much. I guess they didn't get much chance to eat those two guys secret bait.

Even if it's ten times it still brightens a dull day.

If only that mirror hadn't crapped and emptied out then MJL might have also won the biggest fish prize. That belly was so jiggly. Hmmm. enough room for bag of ice too?

Nice salmon. But now the your name doesn't fit your image as a salmon fisherman.

Found OFC through a link from another site years ago when Canadave was king of the hill (of beans) and AndyK was doing his solo camping trips. Discussions now are tame compared to those days.

Ouch. That's almost $40 gas for a return trip. No kings yet on GB tribs? It would be much closer for you. -
It was a fantastic both fishing and weather-wise. For the longest while we had the whirlpool just to ourselves. Nobody else around other than the tourists in the cable car above.

This reminds me of the infomercials on becoming a millionaire in a few months - but you gotta buy the book on the secrets on how to do it. Of course the writer of the book became an instant millionaire and us suckers a few dollars lighter in the pocket.

Yeah, what nerve they have trying to rip off the good ole CBC which is partially funded by you and me . Why should the CBC pay that ransom? And the music owner knows that all the bleeding hearts don't care if the CBC has to pay so long as it doesn't come out of their pocket directly. The solution is for all the bleeding hearts to chip in $20 bucks each in a pool and buy the music outright and then donate it to the CBC. 100,000 people x $20 = $2 million. Not enough? then get 200,000 people to chip in. As the saying goes.. put your money where your mouth is. I'm offering a different point of view to balance things out on this one-sided discussion .

I was thinking the same thing as I looked at the pictures . Ooooh that fragrance will last for a while and no doubt attract something - a racoon maybe possibly a female?.

I was so sure I had a whiff of carp odour (fragrance that rivals Chanel to some) in the car today and in the coat closet too. Yuck!!! Time to try out the Febreze thing.

Yes, the hotdogs. That's the secret ingredient for achieving success today. It's been tough going today until MJL bought the first hotdog and then landed the day's first fish. Anton bought the second hotdog but left soon afterwards before the effect took hold. I got my hotdog and soon got my fish. Then Andrew figured he will give it a try and landed his fish. Victor was sceptical that hotdog is the magic bait and refused to try but by now Sharper was convinced to give it a try. And wouldn't you believe it - he got his carp landed. By now the hotdog vendor was flogging his dogs to anyone who would listen that everyone who bought his dogs caught fish. CLofchik gave in and got his hotdog but we had to leave so we don't know how he did. Poor Victor not only didn't get his carp but also left hungry. In retrospect I should have gotten him one for arranging this G2G. Next time Victor.

With all this talk about BPS I suddenly got that big urge to go for a visit this afternoon. And left $90.00 poorer. Service was good.

It's the camera. Now the untold story for some balanced reporting. How about the agony of defeat? This is the look of disgust after losing a fish. The first five non-carp pics were taken on the Nikon D40. The Auto mode is very good but the other modes like Aperture and Manual are even better once you figure it out.

Hey, where's the carp couch?

Beware carp fishing is addictive . You know you are beyond rehab when you start buying specialized gear for carp fishing.

1) It is fishing related 2) It is safety related while fishing 3) Assault of anglers is not Bull

"somewhat...........unpleasant" is an understatement. I thought a racoon died in the garage. Panfish goes crazy for worms. The problem with sunfish is that they gobble so fast the hook ends up deep.

Wendy's sold off Tim Horton's in a public offering some time ago and the stock price for each went in opposite directions. Wendy's continued to go downhill and was eventually bought out be Arby's this year.

Tim Horton's as a company is loved by customers, shareholders and the community, and our troops overseas. I'm sure head office would have liked this to be handled differently at the local level. There are policies and there must be compliance otherwise what good are they. But equally important are common sense and good judgment in dealing with the enforcement and the expected impacts. The newspapers conveyed one side of the story and we really don't know if there were other issues with this employee. The employer cannot go out there and say things that are confidential about this employee . Before we judge Timmy too harshly let's remember that we may not have all the facts and may never know all of them. Now, how about firing that employee who made my watered-down brew by not adding new coffee and filter before adding water. That is incompetence that damages the company reputation. Time to make second cup of coffee.
