My yamaha 40 is the same gas assist. Downside is you cannot adjust trim on the fly. Ie. Trim in for holeshot, trim out on plane. On my 15' boat that doesnt matter much, she goes. There is a pin which allows you to manually adjust the trim to your boat but it is a set and forget type deal. Welcome back!

cliff, to be successful on simcoe for lakers and whitefish you need to be mobile. sitting in a hut all day will net you limited success. consider heading out with a guide who will work to put you on fish and keep you moving either on snowmobile or atv and in a portable hut. PM me if you need a recommendation. OFC User Meegs makes meegs jigs and I'd contact him first. s

we may not have the 'numbers' lakes that you do up there but we have no shortage of trophy waters and varieties of species. all accessible by hooking up the boat to the truck and driving a couple of hours. no flights, no car rentals, no boat rentals, no 20hr drives. wanna catch a 20-30lb lake trout or giant chinook? fish lake ontario wanna catch a 30" walleye? fish erie or boq wanna catch a trophy muskie? fish georgian bay or st lawrence wanna catch 5 muskies in a day? fish st. clair wanna catch a 6lb smallie? fish simcoe or erie wanna fill your bucket with perch? fish simcoe i think we're a different market than the american customers you see who may get out fishing 1, 2 or 3 times a year. we have good fishing in our backyard and we do it often, just like you locals to NWO. would you guys fly up to yellowknife to fish lakers or pike? propably not because you can fill your boots with those fish in your own backyard.
-
I think we are just afraid we won't come back to s. Ont. A part of it is I think within 6 or 7 hours of the gta, we have some pretty good fishing opportunities as well. Maybe or maybe not as good as NWO but it makes justifying going 3-4 times the distance a little difficult.

unless you're right in toronto or further south, the nights are still cold, sub zero. this time of year nights are longer than days therefore ice.
-
hope you planned for extra days on the island in case a blow came up LOL
-
seems like the higher elevations got it worst. we're not far from dundalk and roads were a bit of a mess. some outtages but not as bad as the ice storm last year.

ottawa deserves an ahl team at best. a carolina affiliate would be fitting.

let's hope this one's 'mild' in comparison. my home insurance broker keeps asking me why i keep paying a premium for having a wood burner in the house when we have nat gas. i tell him about the 7 days we were without hydro in that december you speak of. the two days last year.. i think he's starting to get it.

6" the 8 footer is perfect for small bucktails and topwaters like a top raider, it'll also double well as a heavy pike rod. i may have a bit of OCD and would mail it right back to them.

wouldnt winnipeg be closer? i guess it's not OHIP though.

two batteries with say 800 mah in series to achieve 24v will not increase run-time (although the 80lb will have to work less than the 55lb to maintain the same speed, so there should be some run time increase) -- they are just now a 24v 800 mah battery two batteries with say 800 mah in parallel will double the amp hour capacity, increasing run-time -- they are now a 12v 1600 mah battery. i'd consider what stonefish said above. nobody ever died from having too much trolling motor, in fact it's kinda nice, but it sounds like your issue is not lack of power but more time on a charge.

I told them my hourly rate when I opened the door and they left. Appraently, they came back later and my nicer half opened the door. I need to explain that her time is money too.

census program? yes, i've had them come by

you should still be able to stick kodi on your phone (if it's android) and cast it to the chromecast. google it. no laptops, no cheesy android boxes. ..or get yourself a raspberry pi if you like to tinker, and stick a linux based kodi build. these android boxes on the market these days are generally pretty poor devices.

Win or lose, most of the games are now entertaining to watch and you can see the team make progress.

yes, mine is the 1100 model as well. would this stuff be of any use? kind of like JB weld but for high heat applications. http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/imperial-hi-temp-stove-furnace-cement-710-ml-0642704p.html
-
i don't think it's removable but may be wrong. i don't know if it's iron or steel either. i understand iron cannot be welded?

thanks Michael the catalytics go behind the two handled covers on either side inside the firebox. but, they aren't the issue here.
-
it's not brick Chris, it's the metal back wall of the stove, in the firebox. The stove does have bricks but they are just on the floor. The horizontal line is just shadow, no crack there. I have the door off to replace the gasket.
-
i'm relatively new to wood stoves. you are looking at the inside back 'wall' of my wood stove -- a catalytic stove by elmira. is the circled crack reason for concern can it be fixed? it's maybe 2 inches.

No Ice fishing Grand River Belwood Pakr this winter
Raf replied to Tjames09's topic in General Discussion
i drive by it periodically and the lake is really drawn down this year -- moreso than other years I think. not sure why the dumped so much out of the locks, anticipating a lot of runoff in the spring? -
Reviews of All Weather Tires (Not All Seasons)
Raf replied to huzzsaba's topic in General Discussion
the geolanders are not an all-weather tire, they are an all terrain tire that happens to have a snowflake rating as well and thus satisfy the insurance discount. goodyear duratracs are another tire that fall into this category. all terrain (and all weather, for that matter) tires will never be as good as a dedicated snows but should be 'good enough'. personally, i run an all-terrain tires spring, summer and fall and dedicated snows in the winter on my grand cherokee. while i havent tried the all-weather tires, i don't like the idea of compromising. plus having two sets of wheel/tire combos makes all terrains last longer.
