  1. this is one area you don't want to cheap out on. if you like to stay out in the rain, spend the money on a quality suit. i'm partial to cabelas guidewear only because that's what i own and it has served me well.
  2. I buy parts from them. Judging by your pics Gordon Bay Marine would be a convenient choice for you as well if you ever had an issue with that motor (which you likely won't). Drop it off one wknd pick it up the next. Their service dept is top notch.
  3. didya get it at advanced near belwood? i oogled it there, i think they had a 9.9 on it. thought it would look good with my 40 yammy... and it does. good choice in motors.
  4. I think you're talking about the below "Claw". As mentioned, Rocky's in Orillia would be the first place I'd call
  5. what types of bodies of water do you fish? rivers? great lakes? or small cottage lakes? it's only a 600lb boat plus motor. is there room for two deep cycles without sacrficing too much? the 55lb will pull it around no problem. the 80lb is insurance.
  6. that part is not visible on mobile. best to include it in the thread.
  7. there's the whole warranty thing. i'm waiting 160k kms.
  8. if you don't need the size of a 1/2 ton, then you may be a good candidate for a colorado/canyon short box then. our long box is still a little 'long' for many parking spots [i usually park far away with the other trucks] but fits the width fine. these new 'mid-size' trucks are not much smaller than the 1/2 tons of 15 years ago. the 1/2 tons have really ballooned since then. i'd look at the honda ridgeline too.. it's a lot more 'car-like' but a fwd platform wasn't right for me -- maybe it will be for you. as i get older and lose the desire to work on my vehicles to save costs, factory warranty is nice. your 2011 should fetch pretty good value on the used market as all trucks do.
  9. For our use case (typical homeowners, 2 adults, a 6 year old and a boat) the truck is perfect. Only slight complaint I have is I should have gotten the 'luxury package' or whatever it is called that has the leather seats -- the cloth seats can be a little uncomfortable on really long trips -- the upgraded seats are said to be better in that regard. The truck gets about 26-27k kms a year and the diesel made sense given what I posted about fuel economy above. I bought the long bed and it handles loads fine although you cannot lay a 4x8 sheet of drywall flat due to the wheel wells. I've hauled dirt, firewood and appliances in it with no issues. 1500lb payload and 7600lb towing in the 4x4 diesel which is more than the Ram EcoDiesel 1/2 ton. What is your reason for getting out of the Silverado? Ultimately, I went Colorado because of the diesel. I don't do a lot of short trips (which are said to be 'bad' for modern diesels) my commute is 65kms each way. If comparing the v6 in the Colorado/Canyon vs the 5.3 in the Silverado, the fuel consumption difference will be fairly small and the Silverado is a bigger, more comfortable truck. If it was gas vs gas I think I would have went 1/2 ton. Feel free to ask if you have any specific questions.
  10. shand dam is a bottom draw which means it dumps water from the bottom of belwood reservoir ie. it's cooler.
  11. this is my colorado diesel http://www.fuelly.com/car/chevrolet/colorado/2017/esoxhntr/672489 i get about 9l/100 towing my boat and about 7.5-8l/100 unloaded on average. more payload and towing capacity then the ecodiesel my best 725km/450 miles (US MPG) -- 33.8 US MPG is about 40 IMP MPG i will look to get into the full size 3.0L gm diesel after a few years for them to work out the kinks. for me, it's the other way around.. after owning several FCA products (mostly Jeeps), never again.
  12. Thank you. I got some 4200. Yes, just replacing the existing pump. Now for the heatwave to break.
  13. Looks like we traded martin for tavares.
  14. What sealant should I use to install a new live well pump? It is below the waterline and I'm reading marine grade silicone is a no-go? 3M 5200 sounds too permament, so 4200? Will that come off if I need it to?
  15. Congrats. I bought a 17 diesel LT colorado with the long box. Very happy with it after almost a year. The lockers on the zr2 are nice if you offroad. Mine 'only' has the eaton auto locker in the rear.
  16. OI, do you still have the magic beans.. err I mean grass seed?
  17. Cool. I hope they make a comeback used to catch them regularly at BoQ some 20-30 years ao
  18. lotta money still to be made. nearly 8% swing today and its only 11 for any traders out there.
  19. A bit out of your way but gordon bay marine would be my suggestion. 5 star Yamaha service Its too bad about hastings as i found them good as well
  20. almost $39 today, NYSE listing tomorrow, royal assent june 7th. yada yada you cannot base fair value in a growth industry like this on sales alone. just look at AMZN and NFLX. CGC is not going anywhere and the first mover advantage afforded them and the other big Canadian LPs will be huge as more and more countries legalize globally
  21. sounds like this kid was on the spectrum and his difficulty relating to people snowballed into something much much bigger and sinister. none of the above is an excuse for anything, it was a terrible act. but certainly not terrorism.
  22. if you plan on releasing them, a single siwash makes a lot of sense. much easier on the fish and you. i have not really seen a difference in hookups/lost fish. i've fished with all trebles replaced by singles on crankbaits and sometimes that will even give a little more action to the lure. certain cranks with three trebles get the middle removed completely.
