  1. but you're still going to post your carpventures in NY, right?
  2. yep, moving from floater suits to tshirts in one weekend. Sweet! Gotta remember to pack the sunscreen.
  3. bottomline has been making side finders for years.
  4. sure does. the idea with braided lines is to match the diameter of the line, not line stregth to whatever you are using (ie. 12lb Mono = 50lb PP)
  5. you'll never go back to fireline urbanangler, it's true that red is the first colour to fade under water.. fades to black. the red line is nothing but a gimmick.

    Muskie box

    Recycling bin works great.
  7. They can and will be anywhere in the water column. You can catch them 5' down or 50' down. You can even catch them casting. Boards, flatlining, dipseys all will work.
  8. Team WD40 is proud. Give 'em hell buddy. nawdboost
  9. why post them at all? commit them to memory and your personal photo album and leave it at that. they are OOS.
  10. a uni knot will work but make sure you lubricate the fluoro really well when tightening down. you should only need about 5-6 wraps with the thick fluoro. what i've been doing with 130# fluro is a perfection loop, using a nail to cinch it down tight, then a split ring or snap on the end of it.
  11. Like Lew I pretty much switched to fluoro. Mainly use 130#. The only exception being solid single strand wire (piano wire) for jerkbaits, particularly gliders.
  12. douG? Birthday? Happy!
  13. blaque, that is the same complaint I hear from everyone who tries digital distortion and it's been my experience as well - it just doesn't sound right. The other effects are great in the digital units, but the distortion itself is lacking. My buddy has a digitech rp-01 - not sure if it's still available, however it was marketed as a digital unit with an analog sound and it sounds pretty good.
  14. nice guitar biteme. blaque if that's an s-series ibanez i have her twin at home. how do you like the digitech? i still use the analog boss pedals.
  15. is this the company you were thinking of? http://www.anglersatlas.com/
  16. are you buying? not sure but I will try to make it.
  17. Panasonic DMC-FZ7 is what I recently bought. Leica lens, 12x opti-zoom, IS. My jittery hands can take pics with the IS at max zoom easily and the IS helps in low-light conditions too.
  18. good job you two!!
  19. The only thing that 'sucks' about the leafs not making it is the fact that they almost made it and their draft pick will be mid-rnd 1/
  20. gooooooooo sabres!
  21. Lew, we troll with 14lb xt or 15lb big game for lakers in the spring. Then a 15-20lb fluoro leader about the length of a dipsey rod (8-9') or a touch shorter. The divers themselves get better with age. brand new out of the box, the release mechanism is a little tight. I "work them in" a bit by opening and closing them a few dozen times.
  22. look for a 7' medium heavy for the 4600c3. Pretty sure there is Clarus in those specs.
  23. The Lowrance sonars generally come with a higher powered transducer and sometimes additional options compared to their Eagle counterparts. I own an Eagle unit myself and my next will be Eagle or Lowrance as well. They've been doing this a long time, build quality products and should anything go wrong, their office is in Mississausage. I'd be interested to hear any ideas for avoiding interfernce myself because it has been an issue in DipLips boat when we have both our sonars on at the same time (Eagle Fishmark 320 on the bow & Lowrance X-15 stern)
  24. tuf line, only because it's cheaper than power pro.
  25. you can also try wrapping the hook shanks with solder. a little less permament if you are experimenting with weighting.
