Depends if I have to use the bow mount. I find I use it less now that I'm getting older. I tend to like to drift around with my feet up, so I would sit in the stern.

Can bass get familiar with the same topwater frog.

I would try throwing a senko to see if there are fish around that just aren't in the mood for chasing. Is it possible your spot gets hit hard by others since it's a shore spot? That might have an impact on your success. -
I like that you stood up for your principles about the screening of the education. It is the way it's going though, which can result in missing some very good candidates.

Well, that story makes me want to do a trip to West Bay! Thanks for sharing and passing the amazing past time of fishing on to your son.

I found stuff at the dollar store is crap right off the shelf when it comes to electronics. I recently bought a mini SD card and adapter to load up some books for my wife's KOBO reader. I saved the books to the SD card and the reader couldn't recognize the books and they would be corrupted on the SD card. Tried scanning and formatting and nothing worked. I bought another SD card (same make and size) from a computer store for $3 more and had no problems. I had one of my TV's lose signal a few weeks back, so I went on a search to find out what the problem was. Discovered it was one of the connections in my crawlspace. Changed the connection and problem solved. There are many things that can go wrong with electronics and they can drive you crazy. I guess I'm saying that starting with quality will have a better outcome. That's not always easy for me, because I'm so cheap. LOL

I believe there is a correlation when we talk about small towns. Just way to much to discuss though when looking at the big picture.

Most of us are very wary about sharing our knowledge, because a great fishing spot was ruined after mentioning it on a forum. Seen it too many times. Seen ice fishing spots go from a hand full of people to too many to count after being discussed on a forum.

B1 Fishing - Mortality Rate - 44% - Not A Good Look
jimmer replied to AKRISONER's topic in General Discussion
I always liked the idea of smaller limits for tournaments, even if it's just when the conditions are not suitable. -
Sad that companies don't take pride in their product anymore, especially the big ones. Glad things worked out for you though.

Always the odd one or few that ruin it for the rest. These are the stories that soured me on tournament fishing. Not sure why he hasn't been checked out, especially since he isn't there for take off. -
It being called normal should cost the guy his job......

It looks like an absolutely amazing experience!

I was disappointed to hear that the 5.0 litre has problems. I had only heard good things about it when it first came out and how it was an improvement over the 5.4. Thanks for sharing your experience Lew. My brother-in-law had bought a new Ford a couple of years ago; changing over from a Chevy. He had nothing but problems when towing and ended up trading it in and going back to a Chev. The Ford dealership kept saying there was nothing wrong with the truck, but they lost power when towing something heavy. The scary part is, is that the truck was probably just put back out on the market the way it was after being traded in.

They are more than likely suspended in the deeper water to the north. It's rare to catch a crappie in the south end once the spawn is over. Most people don't target them in the summer because they are very tough to locate and catch. Just my opinion though.

It's definitely not the first tournament that had a high mortality rate. I don't think there are any real answers to avoid something like this happening other than cancelling the tournament if the conditions are not suitable for a successful live release (That won't happen!), OR changing the whole structure, which I doubt will happen either due to costs, required volunteers, security, field size, etc. They are what they are until the MNR feels it needs to stop them and I can't see that happening. So many anglers enjoy the competition and will defend tournaments in any way possible. Catch and keep is not an option for tournaments in my opinion. -
I like the orange pumpkin senko, but just can't justify $12 for a pack. I have been experimenting with X-Zone baits, but I'm sure the price will eventually increase on them too once they are secure in the market. Maybe not, though. I find YUM sink too slow for wacky rigs in anything over 4 feet of water, but I do like them for texas rigs.
-
I was hooked on senkos, but got turned off when the price kept going up. There is one specific colour that I prefer and no other company replicates it. I have found another brand that sinks the same and is much less expensive and they have a variety of colours that seem to work well.

Probably the best way to deal with drug problems is to deal with the root societal issues like mentioned. However, that being said, there will always be chemical drug users.

So, did you drill them out or grind them off?

I am going to be running into this myself shortly. I need to replace my floor, but the bench seats, livewell and storage are all riveted to the sides and will have to be removed to do the proper floor replacement. The thought of removing rivets has been scaring me for two years now.

I'm hearing that they are lacing pot with fentanyl for, which is very scary.

Way too many people dying from overdoses right now. Some of the smaller communities are suffering the worst.
-
You could say they are in some bodies of water where pike are moving in and the muskie can't handle the competition. I agree, the whole resource should be respected if we want to enjoy fishing in the future.
-
that is the foundation of the two sports - hunt and fish for food.
-
Are you asking if there is one? or if adding one would be a good idea? That would go against the reason for the higher size limit. My understanding is that they want all muskie to reach breeding size and spawn before they can be kept.
