  1. Between Hartley Bay Marina and Atwood Resort, whatever that is.
  2. The fishing isn't very good. 8 guys, 4 boats, 3 full days and only a hand full of snot rockets. Not really worth it. Beautiful scenery, but I have seen it many times. We are all considering another option for the next time we get together.
  3. Not giving us much to cheer about when they put out a stinker like that. I have been hearing the Babcock theory quite a bit lately from a friend. He gets pretty worked up about that coach.
  4. Nice looking fish Simon! That lends to my theory that smaller baits out fish the large ones.
  5. I think that if you decide on one, make sure you look it over very good before you buy it, like someone else said. The machine can look great and the engine run well, but there can be stress cracks all over the thing and heavy wear in places that aren't noticeable at first. Bring someone that knows their snow machines with you when checking any out. It can save you some headaches.
  6. I find it tough to watch any of these videos! Social media has sure changed the way people express their opinions. I'll continue to do my little part and hope I don't get taxed to death through expensive initiatives that don't really do anything.
  7. That is one sweet looking ride! Always nice to hear of someone keeping their car from their youth.
  8. It's a tough one, but nice to see people passionate about something. I think the world is upside down right now. Let's feed and house our homeless first here in Canada.
  9. Looks like the northern pike minnow after I googled it when reef runner mentioned it.
  10. Someone posted this picture on facebook and I can't figure out what kind of fish the longer ones are. The others are bass of course. Anyone have any ideas?
  11. Those ladyfish are aerial acrobats for sure. Never seen anything jump like them.
  12. My wife just went to the Ganaraska one and said it was very physical, but enjoyed it. I think they are all run by the same company. She was there for over an hour for sure. She said she repeated some of the sections.
  13. Okay, I'm a die hard Leaf fan, but I had to share this.
  14. The media and Leaf haters are going to love this.
  15. I was out on Friday and finding them in 4 fow. Had one nice pack of fish around 4 pounds each follow in one I had on the line. Of course the one on the line was a pound and a half.
  16. Funny, Ferris said on Tim and Sid yesterday that he couldn't reveal the teams that made Marner an offer sheet.
  17. There is more written about the Leafs by non leaf fans than anyone else on all the sites I visit. So. I guess the sports media is no different.
  18. Yes it is. Had to buy a new transducer for it though. Can you believe the pike that have gotten in there! LOL
  19. I believe that the media creates most of the problems for teams, they blow stuff out of their mouths that should be coming out the other end. Brian Burke is the perfect example, going on about Matthews not going to re-sign once is 5 years are up right after the player signed his contract. What a goof, how the heck would he know what's going to happen in 5 years?
  20. Just a few pictures of some fish that were caught over the last few weeks.
  21. Always at the other end of the lake...hahahaha. Muskie are not a problem Akrisoner.
  22. This whole RFA process is getting out of hand. What a world! Player's expectations are way too high. How does a business remain sustainable when those kind of figures get thrown around. Most fans can't even relate to this level of demands. I love watching hockey, but starting to question my choice to to do so. GM's can be their own worst enemies when they are desperate, then all of them suffer the consequences. The CAP isn't working with these kind of player demands.
  23. Will have to try that, thanks. Long boat ride to get there from my place though.
  24. It has been an exceptionally bad year. Still getting mosquitos at dusk and deer flies on the lake on the warmer days. One of the striped wing buggers got me last night down at the shore. The cold nights usually put an end to them. They might be a winter species...lol
  25. I got into smoking again this summer for the first time in years. I smoked some whitefish and pike. I went with the dry brine - 4 cups of brown sugar and 1 cup of salt - adding spice before I put it in the smoker. I found that the end product looked great, but I found it very salty. Do people feel it's okay to reduce the amount of salt used in the recipe or am I possibly putting too much on for the amount of fish if prepared? I haven't done beef or any other meat in a long time. I am using a Brinkman Charcoal Smoker that I made into an electric one. Cliff's brisket sounds amazing!
