  1. Here is a few of my 2.They dont listen all that well but I love them to death anyways.
  2. See ya Saturday.
  3. It not only reduces the load on the transom but stops the motor from bouncing to the side.It locks it in a straight posistion. My 50 tiller would always be laying on its side while trailering bouncing around with no way to lock it straight. Most boats with a steering wheel the motor will stay in one posistion. With a tiller its harder to lock it straight. The transom saver also reduces wear on the rubber engine mount bushings by locking the motor down. For $50.00 dollars or so why wouldnt you have one. Just my 2 cents
  4. Happy Birthday Jen and best wishes. Dan
  5. I am with Roy WD40
  6. For that price you could look at Lund's or even Sylvan or Smoker Craft. Just a thought.
  7. I would definetly stay totaly clear of any ice right now.And welcome to the board. Dan
  8. Enjoy the new ride and may the fish Gods shine upon you.Congrats. Dan
  9. I do the same to unload. But putting it back on the trailer I just drive it right up to the bow stop and reach over and hook the chain on.If when driving on the trailer the boat becomes a little crooked just turn the wheel in the direction you want the back end to go and give it a shot of throttle and it will straighten right out.It doesnt take very much throttle to get the boat on the trailer when the bunks are wet.So back in far enough to soke the bunks and then pull it out to where you want it .Its quick and its easy especilly when your by yourself.
  10. I use my Okuma convector 30s for salmon fishing with hours upon hours of use and never ever had an issue. But I did have an Okuma Convector 45d that did skip every now and then. But it was replaced without question at my local tackle store. It was replaced with a 30d.Even on my planner board rods I run Convector 20s with line counters.Maybe its just me but for level wind reels I like the Okuma brand. Dan
  11. Here try these guys a 5 minute drive to the boat ramp. http://www.foxmotorinn.com/
  12. Way yo go Bly nice fish.Sorry about your luck there Cliff.
  13. I like the picture of the guy on the roof with the snowblower.
  14. Happy Birthday Wayne.Hope you have great day.
  15. Glad to see you two guys made it back to shore safley.Maybe a little wet and a little wiser. This time of year you are better off on shore then on ice that is very unstable.Glad your o.k and maybe we will run into you guys on the Grand for some of that catfish fun. Dan
  16. My wife fishes with me every chance she can get.It doesnt matter if its in the boat or on the ice.Brian we will have to hook up at a half way point this year and do some
  17. Wayne my 2hp Auger out performs my buddy;s 3hp augers .It wont be a problem.
  18. Well day after day of walking by the kitchen window and seeing the boat all wrapped up I snapped.Ijust couldnt take it any more .It was about 8 p.m and I decided it was time to unwrap it.I know that lots of you are waiting for nicer weather but how many plan on unwinterizing your boats this weekend or any time soon. Now we will be ready for April 1st for sure.Bring on some heat.
  19. Try a spool of Fins or Pline.I have tried lots of different brands of braid and like these the best.Out of the two I really like the Fins the best.I run 6lb test Fins on a 7ft Shimano Compre medium light action rod with a Shimano Sedon 2500 rear drag reel.It makes for a really nice jigging set up.
  20. My brother has the same size and year of opti on his 17ft Lund Pro Sport. It has been problem free since 2005 and with his boat tops out at 47 mph.As far as trolling forget it.Get your self a kicker and save the big guy for what it was meant for. Dan
  21. Speed is far more important than temp..What good is a lure doing 4mph when the boat is doing 2mph.But if you are going to do it do both. .
  22. Sorry to hear Dude.I hope they get stuck with all the lures hanging in the car. Then you catch the person in the hall with all the band aids on.I hope it all works out for you Bud.Call me and let me know what happens. Dan
  23. April 1st for me also.I will just have to bring the snowblower to clear the ramp.
  24. Scotty's have my vote.I run Scotty manuals on my boat and love them.My brother has a Lund 1700 Pro Sport and he runs the Scotty Pro Pack electrics.Either way you go Manual or electric I would take a good look at the Scotty brand.
