  1. I'm going with the water logged bear cub with the hair washed off it's face. I had a muskrat living in my garage for a few days this winter and I can guarantee it's not that.
  2. Nicely done Steve. Sounds like an action packed weekend!! I wish I could say our first day out for pike was as successful. We got only 3 pike in 6 hours with 4 guys in 2 boats...ouch (a few accidental buckets broke up the morning though). Cudz wins the two team tourney with his first pike with about 5 minutes left. Hopefully things go better this weekend!
  3. Congrates on a successful morning! Almost looks like with a little CPR you could have caught, ate and still did a live release!
  4. I second that!! They're almost done rebuilding Haha
  5. Nicely done guys! Can't wait till football season opens here!
  6. And once again you're report doesn't dissapoint. Your buddy's probably hooked on hardwater fishing now! lol
  7. That fish was awesome and the ice was freakin incredible...almost would feel a bit like you're walkin on the water!
  8. Looks like a great father/daughter day out!! Once I find my hard water honey hole (0 for 2 and trying again tomorrow) I think I'll do that with one of my daughters. Congrats to Melissa on the awesome perch!
  9. Awesome video Terry, I was out yesterday morning with a few buddies for about 5 hrs without even a bite...your video gives me hope that they were probably there, just not hungry! I was curious to see what other people around us caught but sounds like it was maybe a slow day for everyone. Keep posting those videos!
  10. Awesome report! I knew you had some sweet fishing holes over there based on your soft water reports but man they don't dissapoint in winter either! Congrates to Stephanie
  11. Hi Ross, I'm no expert at Musky gear by any means but yesterday I was at BPS and was asking about what they recommend for a low cost bait cast musky reel. They currently have the BPS Pete Maina Signature Series Round Muskie Reels on a clearance sale for $54. Apparently they had a falling out with Pete Maina and he wants his name off the reel. It shows the regular price as $70 but the guy I was talking to said it usually retails for around $120 and once these are gone it will go back up to that price with a different name. I'm sure it's not a great reel but I'm thinking of getting one as a starter Musky reel...not much to lose if you don't like it I figure. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s...0001000_100-1-0
  12. Looks like a great start to the deep hardwater season! You had about the same results in the same amount of time in 90fow as we did yesterday on simcoe in 20fow...needless to say your results look much more rewarding. I look forward to going for whites and lakers in the next few weeks!!
  13. Awesome video Terry! That is way different than what I would have pictured going on down there. I was out on Cooks Bay yesterday and when I'm not getting bites I just assume that there are no fish around...not necessarily so. Really shows the importance of doing a little jigging and not just leaving the bait dangling down there. How deep can you record with that thing? I look forward to your White Fish and Lake Trout vids if you do get around to taking some! Thanks for sharing!
  14. Looks like a great little meal to end the day! Me and a couple of buddies headed out on Cooks Bay yesterday as well and fished from about 7:30 to 12:30. We landed 12 fish total between the three of us (6 or 7 small keepers) which sure didn't feel like much but sounds like maybe the afternoon bite was a bit better!
  15. I love watching the show as do a few of my kids...it's definitely the only fishing show that keeps the interest of my kids! I am a big fan of the locally shot shows but this week's 400lb + Groupers show was awesome and as was the Alligator Gars show from last season! Love the enthusiasm with each strike and fish landed!! I look forward to seeing the rest of the "Facts of Fishing" season 3! GREAT job Dave!!
  16. If it was me I would just take my chances at the border. I have driven into the US many times with a vehicle full of people and I think only once have even had show a birth certificate or passport. I know security is getting tighter but my guess is the driver will be asked a few questions about the trip and everyone will be asked thier citizenship and on your way you will be....but, I guess there is a very slight chance you'll have a problem and even then if your with him and you explain the situation I think you'll be fine.
  17. Wow, hope the bite is still on this weekend, I'm hoping to get out and get some dinner and I'd even settle for 9"ers!
  18. LOL I haven't been hardwater fishing in a long time and I'm definetly gonna give it a whirl again this year but (in the interest of my marriage) I won't be getting up at 4am for hardwater. My vote goes for softwater hands down.
  19. It's a toss up between Home Alone and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation...both classics!
  20. Happy Birthday Dave! Love your show!! Jon

    Hey JPD!

Just bumpin up the post for ya Roy seeing as JP hasn't seen the post yet. Sorry, got no insight on the reel for you.
  22. Well I'd love a fishing boat...but that ain't gonna happen so probably BPS gift cards for me! I just bought a new bait casting rod and reel so I'd probably spend the money on a new tackle bag, some tackle and maybe some stuff to get into hardwater fishing!
  23. Great report Kevin, I always enjoy reading them!! Looks like a great end to a great bass season! Just read your Nov 25th report as well...holly $#@& you got some sweet bassin lakes there in QC! Jon
