Nice fish, thanks for sharing.

I have to agree that smaller musky can sometimes look like tigers. In my opinion that fish is definitely not a tiger, as I have caught smaller musky with similar markings on pigeon.

Strykr makes a neoprene glove that looks interesting.

First tiger muskie of the year... ain't she purdy?

Thanks for sharing. I've got to start fishing tiger waters. -
Look up Northshore Musky Baits on Facebook and send him a PM. John Mortimer is a great guys and will be able to get you on the right track. This time of year it can be tough to find the popular baits as many of them are sold out.

There is a Launch right before you hit Noggies creek north of 36 off of Bass Lake Rd. If you hit Pirates cove you've gone too far. I've never used it, so can't speak to how good it is, but I've seen it used. Send me a PM if you want some more info on the lake.

What ever happened to the "Do not Call List"?
Gregoire replied to Big Cliff's topic in General Discussion
Another advantage of only having a cell phone is that you can block calls from specific numbers. -
Good luck. Heading out there next weekend. Hopefully the winds are good and the lake is fishable.

Thanks for the heads up

I was out on Pigeon last weekend, and there were boats. but not what I would call busy. Definitely don't have the lake to yourself though.

His total disregard the charter and the constitution is troubling. It is almost like he thinks a majority government has given him the authority to change the constitution, a shocking power grab for someone who has never had anywhere near the majority of Canadians vote for his party. He knows exactly what he is doing, forcing his political and ethical agenda onto Canadians through back door channels. Hopefully enough Canadians have realized what he is doing to remove him from power.

You've got a good chance at a ski if you're fishing for them with the super moon and the warm fall so far. Make sure you bring a big net and proper release tools.

This topic has wandered a bit. At any rate: the logic that you need to a firearm to defend your house is way to similar to the idea that teachers and the clergy should carry firearms to defend schools and churches.

I saw that article yesterday as well. It seems like the conservatives have knowingly been introducing laws that violate the charter of rights and freedoms. I guess Harper is hoping that he can stay in power long enough to nominate enough supreme court judges who will side with him on these issues. Hopefully that plan won't work out. This seems to go hand in hand with what the conservatives, and Harper specifically have tried to do to charter rights and freedoms, only support the ones they like. If I remember correctly a few years back the government of Canada ended a program to help individual Canadians who are fighting charter issues pay legal fees.

Apparently this information comes from wikipedia. (Not a reliable source of information). All the information seems to be at least 8 years old from the wikipedia page. I have to agree that this is fear mongering.

That is a nice thick fish. Thanks for sharing.

In my experience people who have spent a long time fishing for musky without making contact with them, especially in the Kawartha, is a result of not fishing close enough to structure. Banging your trolling motor against rocks, stumps, etc, is a common place and is why black paint was invented.

The forage base or at least density seems to be changing. The musky are getting much fatter. Noticed this especially on Scugog, where they used to be snakes. Might be due to the dwindling walleye population.

There are musky in Maine

Another vote for the net. Makes it easier to unhook them while in the water, or better yet to cut the hooks. A few years ago got into the habit of just cutting the points off of hooks on anything that looked like it would be complicated. Can also use the mesh as a jaw spreader, which is generally easier on the fish and easier than using jaw spreaders.

Awesome, the joy you see on her face is priceless. My little boy in 8 months old, and I can only hope that he loves fishing half as much as your daughter does. Great report. -
sounds like a johnson rod to me...

And that possession limits mean how many fish in total that you can have on you, including stored. They do not apply daily. For example, is the possession limit for bass is 2 you can only catch 2 keep 2. You must consume the fish before you can keep any more.

I agree that I got off topic. My point is similar to the one Cast-away made, just not stated as well. The games are a great opportunity to celebrate athleticism, and I am enjoying them. If you don't that is fine, but please don't get all negative about petty little things, as in my opinion there is far too much negativity in the world. If people were to appreciate what they have, instead of tearing down what they see wrong in others, and even maybe celebrating with others, or at least take action instead of just criticizing, the world would be a better place in my opinion. Sorry again for getting off topics.
