  1. Saw him in an off-Broadway play 20 years ago as he played a Roman Emperor. He's just as good live as on screen. Thanks for the heads up! Love to see him again!
  2. That's not funny! Last year borrowed my neighbours 8" & took it to Hailburton. Could barely cut through the white stuff on top! Thank goodness we found a cottage neighbour who lent us his old 4" (but razor sharp!) which we used for 2 days. Upon return of the 8", he told me had been using it for post holes in his back yard!! :wallbash:
  3. Wow, beauty fish! Way to go!
  4. You guys probably thinks he's kidding?...My wife just got home at midnight...said something about a guy helping her change a flat!
  5. ...you just want to hear him talk dirty don't you? (sorry, been couped up!)
  6. Is there much of an ice shelf to deal with? Nice fish!
  7. Good one! Who needs the Greenies when your average Laker is probably north of 20lbs!
  8. Wow! all those videos are incredible! All we need is HD helmet cam video of some extreme angling!
  9. Beauty Laker! Hoping to land something like that on Sunday!
  10. That was pretty cool.
  11. I think you're supposed to meet a guy wearing a trench coat in the parking lot...he'll be wearing white socks as well.
  12. You'd be surprised. I'm sure there are a few misguided "applicants" who think they are applying for a "hero" position. As a seasoned VOLUNTEER firefighter, I've seen a few of these people through the ranks. These are the ones that are attempted to be weeded out through the hiring process. I like to think of my fellow VOLUNTEER & CAREER firefighters as "calculated risk" takers. Training & proficiency is what allows us to attempt things that your average person would potentially be more in harms way to try. As a volunteer, 1½ weeks ago I was 'paid' with the memory of the poor sole who's lifeless body I helped recover from Lake Ontario. Not the kind of remuneration you can put in the bank, but hey, someone has to step up. In my books, the teachers that run an after school homework club at my child's school are heroes. I've had the pleasure of knowing some WWII heroes as well.
  13. Just back from a night of Hazmat / Decon training at the station. Haven't heard of this yet?
  14. +1 vote.
  15. What do ya think would be better, spoon or diving crank?
  16. It almost sounds worth it for Jello and sponge baths! What kind of Jello are they bathing you with? Feel better.
  17. Hey hey hey! I resemble those remarks!
  18. For those of us that don't "facebook", I found that giving pink satin "clothing" has worked wonders!
  19. If you believe in the phrase "It takes a village...", then you did your part. Good for you. It's your own conscience you have to spend your time with, so might as well do what you need to to live with yourself. If that includes providing guidance to some kids, you've done the right thing.
  20. Hmmm, I probably would have gone for the Crown Royal!
  21. Great looking day!
  22. Received the Cabela's clearance flyer in the mail yesterday. There's some pretty good deals. The HT Polar Escape Magnum 2 person flip over is on ½ price for $259.99 The same one is on 'special' at Lebaron for $349.99, so $259 would seem like a pretty good price for anyone that is interested. They also have the HT InstaShack pop up shelters for upto $70 off. There's some other deals as well. I can't take advantage of either of these this year, but thought some of you guys might like the deals.
  23. You are right Riley. We do drool a little bit every now and then, and yes girls do rule! Welcome to the community.
