Wow. That's a great offer! I will consider that for sure! 2" is much thicker then what I am looking for. But as a back up, that would work OK. The white stuff tends to flake away into those little styrafoam balls. I was hoping to get the foam typle panel, because they are more durable. Thanks very much eh! This is tru. I really don't care about the color.

I work for a manufacturing company. But all of our stuff usually comes with custom formed foam packaging. Or other stuff i can't use. I did manage to score a sheet and a half of Pink 1" think foam board. But I would prefer the thin 0.5" stuff over 1". And pink... No way.

I am in the process of converting my homemade portable in to a solid walled hut. It is 4 x 8 base, 7' tall in the center. Barn still roof. I have the walls and roof up. Purchased all of my sealants, and paint. Gunna get that part done this weekend. Next step is to install some insulation. Anyone have any opinions for insulating a hut on a budget? The best I can find right now are the 0.5" blue foam sheets you can get from Rona. I need 12 @ $7 each. $84 plus tax. I also thought about spray foam. Something like Froth-Pak. But I think you need some special gas tanks, or something along those lines. Then if you need to replace a board in the future, you have to re-foam... I would like to install the blue foam boards. But I am already over budget. Anyone know a place where I can get them for dirt cheap? or have any better ideas on how to insulate on a budget?

Cool video Simon. Reminds me of when I was a hired hand on a farm. In the winter we would rebuild combines. I had to clean them first. The pressure washer was more like an ice blaster on the super cold days..

I try to run as light as I can. And half my holes are full of slush half the time. Doesn't bother me when I'm running hole to hole. I'd have not room for that thing. Neat idea though.

We had planned a trip up this weekend with the snowmobile. But decided to push it out a week or two to make sure. Don't want to waste a day because of crappy ice or conditions. The ice should be good for walking. Post an ice report when you get back if you don't mind From you general area, we where going to hit the same lake this weekend. Would have been funny.. I can't remember what they where hitting last year. I think it was a tinny wax worm beetle thingy. Red. In the 10' range. Lightly jigging off bottom. Only bringing it up a foot or two. Half way up the odd time to raise some attention.

Ya. This is sad news for sure. Not a good way to start the new year.

Here is something that I've noticed over the years perch fishing. When you have a stack of perch on the ice, (Un-Bonked) they tent to lay still. Then suddenly they all start flipping around like crazy on the ice. 90% of the time, the finder will light up at the same time. Like they are communicating thru the ice somehow.

Looks good on my I-phone. Is there a way to have the green skin on my I phone? Either way, works great. Except when I try to type to fast I alway end up accidentally opening the app download screen.. That happens a lot. Tricksters placing advertising links in common mis-strike areas.... Everyone does that. Drives me nuts.
