I use braid for almost everything. And almost always fish outdoors. Rarely in a hut. I love it. Never going back to Mono. You can't beat the sensitivity of braid. 8lb Fireline Micro-Ice.

I've done it once or twice in the past.. Didn't mess up my car. Probly not the best thing to do though.. I've also done the same thing with my lawn mower, when I ran out of gas cuting grass. It also ran fine with an oil mixture. I'm not a mechanic, but I'm sure a few people here will give an exact answer.

I use the cheapest Federal shells I can find. #4 2-3/4". We're hunting a big marsh, with our permanent blind built right in the middle. Only way in is by canoe. It makes it a little bit of an adventure each morning, but it keeps the crowds down. Only seen one other hunter there all year so far. I've tried the black cloud, and didn't see the point in spending extra bucks.. It costs twice as much as what I'm using.

Decent meal there skip.. Back at er again tomorrow I take it?

I aint talking about the football team double limit of blue bills in about 20 minutes this morning. Had the decoys packed up, and taking pictures as the sun was cresting over the trees. The best morning of water-fowling I've ever had. What a perfect way to start the long weekend. Pike fishing tomorrow, then back at the ducks Monday.

Miracon, Those are decent reels, and should last a long time. The rods should be OK too, they may have lost a little back bone with old age. The top rod looks like a great pan fish set up. Make sure you clean the reels out really good before you spin them to much. If you're in the neighbourhood, stop by, I can show you some basic reel maintenance tips. The combos you guys bought earlier this year are mush better. I'd be using them for my primary rod. These two old ones are good back up rigs.. or for the kids..
