I can't say I've even done that before.. I do have lots of spots marked on the GPS with notes on what part of the season they are best, and how many fish I've caught there. But I've never marked a spot in the summer, with the intention of going back in the winter.

That's a great video. Last year, a Barrie police officer (of duty) drove through a OPP ride program plastered drunk. Got charged for DUI.. This was in Barrie, at the 400 and Bayfield from what I remember.

Last time I was there I saw a guy on a jet ski with a beard bigger then big chev's. Towing a kid on a GT Snowracer, no spotter. It was quite the sight to see..

I didn't do very well the last time I was there. There are some folks on the board who live on the lake. If your fishing from shore, probably not going to catch anything.

I have really bad grammar. And to top it off, I try to type to fast, and thus make lots of stupid typo's. If I'm starting a new topic, then I will spell check it, but that doesn't catch everything. If I'm replying to a post that already exists, then I don't bother with the spell check.. Spelling errors, and minor grammar things don't bother my. I'm not a hypocrite. But if you can't understand what the person is trying to say.. Well that can be frustrating.. P.S. I spell checked this in MS Work, how many grammar errors did I make?

My dog doesn't like the cold, and I'm worried she would fall in a hole. So I don't take her ice fishing. As for the heat, there is a nice shady spot in the back of my boat that always stays cool. I throw a towel in there, and she will lay in there for hours, or until I catch a fish.

My dog loves to go fishing, and she loves being in the boat. But I always make sure she's wearing a life vest. A few years back on cooks bay, she jumped over board, and we ran her over. Almost got dinged by the prop. This was a few minutes before the big jump. And this was a few minutes after.. Not a happy dog. Coughed up water the rest of the trip. We bought her a life vest later that week. Dogs are great, but they're not for everyone. It can be a bit of a pain when need to find a sitter for them. But well worth of effort in my eyes.

What CC is your motor on the strike master? I called strike master and talked to a service tech after I bought one used. They will be able to tell you what size of auger you can match with what CC power head. There's a chance you can upgrade the auger for less the buying a new complete unit. Or you can sell the 8" unit, and buy a bigger one. Strikemaster, Eskimo, Jiffy. They're all good as long as you maintain them, and mix the gas right. Just DON'T get a 3 blade strike master auger!

My advice Dana. Find a seasoned ice fishing vet, and go out with them for a season. For the first year, I never went on the ice alone. The guy that I fish with has been fishing Simcoe for almost 50 years. I've learned so much about ice safety from fishing with him.

If the person has a PAL. Assume they have a gun, and ammo. Why do they need to know exactly what long guns they have.
