  1. Jason Isbell is a favourite of mine these days.... http://<iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/iSQtt57nPhk?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  2. I work in tree care, and have to sharpen saws often, because there is almost always metal in trees we remove from back yards. The only guide I use is the line that is scribed at the bottom of the link. As mentioned, it really helps if you can anchor the bar solidly, as in a vice. If I have to do the rakers, I do them first, so if I happen to slip and hit a tooth, it doesn't matter as much. Over time, you'll get better at maintaining your angles. Fresh files make a huge difference, and I rotate it slightly as I move it across the tooth. It's a matter of developing a feel for it with practice.
  3. Bass Shoal (!) Javex Shoal (original, no?) Funky Town The Flats The Promised Land The Boulevard Ruff Strait Gay Bay (not that there's anything wrong with that) Gatsby Shoal
  4. loon-pattern topraider. My actual favourite to fish is a Dictator style creeper: just love watching it move through the water
  5. I know the Moon delta well, and despite it's muskie a being comparatively few and far between compared to some other bodies of water, the amount of feed is abundant to say the very least. For that reason I think there are record-class fish in G Bay. Aside for that it's been mentioned that an awful lot of big fish are caught in the Larry.
  6. I'm not, but I was up in G Bay for three days last weekend though. Catch up on some work and such this weekend, generally chill right out.
  7. I don't get to fish as often as I'd like, so when I can I'm up, a couple of times, before the sun. Don't want to waste any time!
  8. 'Morning, Gang: Rained out at work today, so it's a coffee/music kind of day.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BqOCOEdZ0uo
  9. I would suggest looking at the Massassauga. Lean on walleye, but the pike and bass fishing is outstanding.
  10. Gosh, buddy, those are some wonderful photos!
  11. My brother out west loads his own ammo and had to stock up on his beloved Varget and tells me bullets have been tougher to find too.
  12. In those days I worked downtown, 53rd floor of Scotia Plaza. I commuted to work on my bike, so once I got to ground level I was good to go.
  13. The biggest black bears I ever saw were at the Dwight dump, on Oxtounge Rapids Road, just off 60. You can look down on them, as the dump is in the edge of a cliff. Great vantage point, and they won't be far away!
  14. One of the only things on TV worth watching, Brian!
  15. I've had good luck with Albrights, simply re-tying occaisionally.
  16. We caught Lindi Ortega with the astoningly good James Roberston on guitar this past Friday. Great tunes! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cprf8h00TMM
  17. Over 100 mm of rain in an hour at Pearson. Saw a report that there is concern that the banks of the Don River may collapse in Hogg's Hollow. (York Mills and Yonge).
  18. I know the area I fish pretty well, but I like electronics for finding shcools of bait fish while trolling
  19. Thank you, Roy! My taste covers a lot of bases, but always comes back home to this sort off stuff
  20. Saw these guys last night; won't be the last time.....
  21. Mactier Friday morning, fishing in the afternoon!

  22. I like the look of Corian, and the chance of a glass not breaking if it tips over is a bonus for sure, but having done had two kitchen renos in the past, both times we found sheets of granite that we fell in love with. There's not much that looks better, imo.
  23. He and Alvin Lee, both on the same day. Bummer
  24. I wonder if Nirvana ever came clean about ripping Killing Joke off? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynqft1hDTyA ayway, what I'm listening to now.....
