  1. Nice smallie! Can't wait to get out next week.
  2. Good one!
  3. I recently bought a Curado from an American site for $165, and that's including S&H. The same reel at LB goes for $259, and that's before tax. Retailers really need to adjust their pricing to better reflect the loonie's strength, not just tackle shops but pretty much everyone--especially car makers!
  4. I never thought I would see the day, but the loonie reached parity with US dollar today. No more Monopoly jokes!
  5. Alas, someone else had already raided them; I had to settle for the few remaining green/white pattern. I'm actually a bit peeved at how slow BPS (and other tackles stores) has been in restocking them. Back to the topic at hand: the guy that occassionaly shows up at the Credit mouth to sell his spoons also sells UV flashlight. My friend bought it, and it seems to work ok. But you'll have to camp out to meet the guy. I prefer camera flashlight though; less time to charge the spoon, and also lighter than UV flashlight.
  6. Actually, that reminds me of Homer. You could have had him as a pet, and then eat him while crying. LOL!
  7. That is one HUGE lobster!
  8. Walk out to the pier in the park, not by the bridge and the parking lot, and you will see most people throwing spoons. Now, at the narrow, I guess flossing is the name of the game.
  9. I cleaned out BPS of 3/4 oz Cleos the other day, but that's not in your area! LOL
  10. This could easily evolve into a class action lawsuit.
  11. WTG. Neat idea on the coins; how did you fix them to the spoons? I assume they didn't affect the lure's movement?
  12. Some nice bass there!
  13. Nice report; thanks for sharing.
  14. That's gotta give you a sore back, but in a good way. LOL. WTG!
  15. You could post your video on youtube and link it from here. And next time I'm out bassin', I'm hitting rizzo's dock.
  16. Better than my day!
  17. This isn't gonna end with a sing-along of Kumbaya, is it?
  18. Just read the update. I guess it's not just incompetent idiots that are everywhere; asses also abound.
  19. I see MJL has beat me to it; now I sound like a parrot. LOL. But the prices have come down for Convergence, and so it's even a better buy now.
  20. Shimano Convergence, 10 ft, medium power with slow action. IM-6, rated for up to 1 oz, comes with lifetime warranty, gives you a lot more distance with your lure, and it's all for just 70 bucks. There also are some spots you can try near Kingston. Millhaven Creek near Bath, west of Kingston, has a decent trout run and some salmon as well, and unlike GTA, you won't need shoulder pads as there is hardly any fishing pressure--one huge benefit of living in a small city. God, I miss Kingston.
  21. Very fascinating, and a bit scary at the same time.
  22. Incompetent idiots everywhere. Hope it irons out soon.
  23. That pile of rock is like an anchored boat over a honey well, eh? Good stuff!
  24. Nice goodies! It's great to have a family that knows what you really want.
