Wow I have a stick 4runner and can't imagine this happening to me. I think I am going to chalk the wheels from now on and get my e-brake inspected. Thx for posting it's a good reminder why we should always be alert and on the look out.

The weekend drive can be a little stressful if your in a rush but 90% of the time we take our time and it's not so bad. We get on at Davis and the 400 and I as well work from home so all in all not to bad..but with the Sun projected for this weekend, I'm assuming this weekend will be crazier than others.

Do you wear a life jacket while fishing
Flappn replied to knightfisher's topic in General Discussion
I never wear my life jacket and I do not want anyone telling me I have to...I have had enough of the Government ruling my life. My daughter wears her life jacket every time she is in the boat under power or not. It's all about double standards, my dad did it to me he never wore one and I always had to. My daughter is in swimming lessons and can swim better than most her age. Any person who decides to venture on the water should know how to swim. Accidents happen wear swimming won't help but car accidents happen as well...that's why we call it an accident. Accidents happen, people have to stop and think. Is it wise not to wear my life jacket maybe..but it's my choice. I get Claustrophobic and do not like to be in tight spots or wear tight fitting items. I have the same issue with seat belts in my vehicle. -
I used to tow my 15ft Legend with a 25 4 stroke with my 2002 TDI Jetta. It pulled it no prb and brasking was not an issue. Most smaller boats are light in the front anyway. I would recommend you lighten up the front and put any heavy stuff in the back seat of the car instead of the trunk.

In my opinion that seems a little hi for a 12' footer with a 7.5 from the Mid 80's however with that said the market drives the price so it may go for higher. I would suggest start at 500 and see where he goes from there. Ensure it all works first though of course.

I fish the area frequently. There are mostly Pike and Smallie's. There aren't great numbers but there are quality fish. It can be a tough go at times though. Walleye are found further up the river closer to Doe Lake and further north from there.

I'll take one...but I agree would love the GPS/Fish finder combo first

Get another opinion. Like all industries there are crook's. My old man is a dentist....he is worth every penny he gets. You try working in a mouth 8 hours a day. Think about it. Get another opinion.

Hello all, I'm hoping someone can help. I have a fiberglass boat and I'm replacing what looked and feeled like the caulking where the metal bumper (the middle is rubber) meets the fiber glass, I believe it is the spot where the two halfs of the boat come together. Can some one recommend what to use to seal this? I am wondering if I should get a marine grade or just go to home depot and pick up a tube of out door clear silicon. Any help would be much appreciated.

Stability isn't the issue, it's the ability to be able to run rougher/chopy water with a flat fronted boat and in Ontario we have a lot of large lakes. Deep V's handle the rough water a lot better. John boats are made for smaller calm lakes and rivers. People use them alot for Utility type purposes as well.

Wow some real nice fish there. Guess that wasn't last Saturday as we where up there and we faced gail force winds..so it seemed. We couldn't get out till 7 at night. Nice haul!!

My understanding is that ear muffs are ok for starting...and quick reving in neutral however putting it into drive and actually spinning the prop and opening it up to see top end is a no no. Is this a myth or truth? My understanding is that the prop as well as the impeller are lubricated via water.

My largest has been caught on a soft body bait. Hit it like a freight train. -
Thanx DanD. Ya even in Callander on those Windy days it can be a real nightmare.

Morning everyone. We are heading up to Sunset Cove Lodge on Callendar Bay. We normally fish Callendar this time of year with success however at a different resort. The immediate fishing grounds are new to us. Two questions: 1st) how has the fishing been on Nippissing this week/month? Has anyone been our recently? Have the walleye moved out to the humps or can they still be found shallow? 2nd) Has anyone been to Sunset cove and how did you like it? Was it located in a good area of Callendar bay? Any information would be very much appreciated. Looking forward to some Nippissing Walleye. Here is a Pic from last year.

If you are thinking of going voice /IP on your phone

It's your internet connection/provider. There is a terminolgy called QOS quality of services. If your internet services is not up to snuff ie high speed you will have packet loss which equals latency and jitter which equals tin cans and string. You may want to look into upgrading your interent package to a higher through put. -
Heading up to the Trailer near Hunstville for the weekend. Hope to wet a line!
