  1. sad. can't just fagetabotit
  2. I can think of lots of uses but I wouldn't put it under my vehicle. If eventually when it loosens, water could get trapped behind it and increase rusting. Can't beat a penetrating oil type product and apply again as needed. My 2 cents
  3. In this day and age, this could be shrewed marketing. Tons of people will want to see the poster. CT hits the jackpot
  4. Nice. I believe the Matrix has the Corolla powertrain. Bulletproof. The hatch is handy for sure
  5. Costco has a Karcher Power Washer with a 190 Honda motor on sale $80 off for $319. Is this a good machine? Can't see any plastic on the pump. Al metal/brass. Thought I might pick one up. Is there much to winterizing these things?
  6. Stonefish, you are amazing! Thanks a ton. Will check this out this weekend at the cottage. Thanks for taking the time. OFC rocks!
  7. My Lund dash trim gauge has stopped moving. Stuck in down position. Motor is a Yammy 115 4stroke 2007. Is there an easy fix for this? Can live without it but would be good to have it working again Thanks for any info out there peter
  8. I posted earlier that with the late spring and early season, the bass could be still spawning at the opener. Buddy of mine caught one full of eggs on Sat. Had a fishfry and was surprized when he opened her. too bad. Good thing most are released.
  9. A step down going Korean. Forester is currently the top rated small SUV/wagon in Consumer Reports. Best AWD system, crash test, resale. I prefer the look of the Outback. it will be our next car.
  10. Tried rip jigging this weekend on the Kawarthas. Found 10 ft feedbeds near deeper water. Black bucktail jigs with some white, yellow or chartrues hairs included did the trick. 1/2 oz. Never done this before. Just swept the rod sideways 3 ft or so, paused to pick up the slack and repeat. If incountered weeds, jerked it a bit. Usually weeds didn't stick. If I felt them, a vigourous jerk usually got them off. Caught 5. 4 in the slot. One 24 inch. Anybody else use this technique or know of a better way? Does it also work later in the season? peter
  11. Peggy's Cove. St Stephens. Fort Louisburg You might be shocked at the NFLD ferry price. Gros Morne. Dildoe, St John's . try salmon fishing in the Humber River Watch out for Lobster suppers. All the fresh local mussels you can eat and a lobster. Then finish with a home made piece of pie Or buy a couple 1 1/2 lb lobsters from a fisherman in season or a dealer and boil em up yourself, add some garlic butter and you're smokin
  12. yes, I think you're right. they have different names http://www.mnr.gov.on.ca/en/Business/LetsFish/2ColumnSubPage/STEL02_173166.html
  13. there are 2 similar looking fish in Ontario. Mainly Great Lakes. one of them is actually a type of perch. you can see it in their heads. check MNR fishing regulations
  14. fished 4hrs Tues. Not a sniff or follow
  15. looking forward it, just please don't talk to us as though we are idiots in diapers
  16. Finally got out today at the cottage on Pigeon. Acceptible winds for a change. Anyway a 24 inch 'eye on a large clown Husky Jerk in 3 ft of water near rocks. Back she went. Was 3pm in bright sun with a steel leader. Not suppose to happen. Did see, for the second time in my life, a decent ski cruising around like a gator with it's head and eyes above water. About 20 yrds from me in about 15 ft of water. After 30 seconds, a flip of the tail and it was gone What are they doing when they do that. Trying to warm up in the warmer surface water? peter
  17. Should be a National Holiday
  18. Hey Rizzo, there's nothing like slow trolling at 1 mph or less for eyes with my trolling motor up front steering with the big motor. I've got the MinnKota AutoPilot. Not sure how it would be done with a cabled model. Less to go wrong on them I would think, though.
  19. Thinking about all the Toronto sewage washed out into the lake
  20. doesn't solve your problem but saw a Karcher with 190 Honda motor at Costco $400. Would this be a good unit to buy?
  21. Anybody catch a walleye on a spinnerbait? Anything else but walleye here.
