  6. Ok. A rivet. Was wondering how one replaces a river
  7. interesting, that's news to me about cisco in the Kawarthas. Thought they are a cold water species. I know the MNR stocked walleye way back. But muskie/bass/perch were also stocked? And privately?
  8. Nice! Warms my heart. Glad you have a floater suit on. That water would make your johnson disappear
  9. In 2007 when I wanted to pull the trigger, a 115 4 str Merc would have been my choice. Yammy made their heads and they were bulletproof. However, in 2007, Merc started making their own heads. I went Yammy instead. Has been great so far. I know you love your 150 Yammy as well.
  10. Welcome Adam. I would just like to add....stay away from muskie fishing. Beware A 45" plus fish is better than sex IMHO. It could cost you your marriage. peter
  11. Hey Lew. Wasn't your Merc really a Yammy in disguise? peter
  12. good advice above. GPS is sooooo valiable. For safety and finding that spot on a spot. Humps in deeper water. Colour also awesome. Bigger is better. 5 inch screen is a little small for a GPS/sonar combo split screen. I would spend the money and do it right. This is not something you will buy again for a while. Forget going out to a restaurant a few times. Forget flowers for the lady. Get a good unit
  13. Darwin at work Same reason deer/moose deliver their young so easily. Obstetrical problems result in the elimination of those genes.
  14. It's gotta be a massive buffet for all when fish spawn. Except bass because they nest. It's amazing any walleye make it to the slot.
  15. satalite picture shows the bottom of Cooks Bay open. Rest of Simcoe still locked up Quinte is open
  16. It puzzles me why Balsam Lake walleyes can't be kept between 37-55cm, and in the rest of the Kawarthas they must be between 35-50cm. What is the explanation? Anybody know? peter
  17. Are the bass going to be off their nests by opener this spring?
