Could that be the Opeongo monster everyone sees ? There's probably bigger than that one in the lake. I hooked a couple in Georgian Bay that would be at least the size of your catch. Heck of a time pulling them in. I was fishing from shore. When they got close, those claws dug in and stopped any forward movement. One broke the line, the other we had to cut loose. Nasty, hissing buggers. Exiting catch though.

I'd love to go, but it's too soon for me to make a commitment. I'm still trying to swing some time to go moose hunting. Chances are pretty good I'll make it down on the Firday night or at the latest, early Saturday morning.

The little ones can get just about anything on a live worm. If you want to cast. There are good suggestions here. I like large Rapalas for casting at night when targeting walleye. Wally Divers are a good choice too. A magnum Rapala in firetiger colour caught me the fish in my avatar. Here's a better look.

I believe Legend uses Smokercraft hulls. At least the one we have is a Smokercraft. Had it since it was new in 1990. No problems. Legend has been known for underpowering their boats to keep prices down, then getting some more $$$ out of you on the upgrade.

Too bad the fishing wasn't what was expected, but it's always better than sitting around the house. Wish I was where you were.

I can't wait for the cooler weather to set in and keep the crowds at home or in the cottage. Just a bit longer Lew and the lakes will almost be fishable again.

As oxcowboy said, maybe it was their secret spot and they were thinking you should be the ones to leave? You can't stop people from fishing and they can't stop you. Could be they were being courteous and keeping back so they wouldn't bother you.

Yesterday the kids were delivered to my parents house to stay overnight because we had a friends 40th birthday party. Today I'll be doing some work for a client and if there's time, rig electrical power from the house to my shed. Tonight we have another friends 40th, but can only stay for a short time because........ My bro and sister in-law are having a get together / BBQ with their wedding party. It's been 9 yrs. Tomorrow morning I'm planning to get the kids out on L.Ontario for a few hours to catch some salmon and trout. When I get home, I have more work around the house and will probably have to go visit a client in the evening. I don't have time to P. This is nuts. I need a 10 day week and 30 hrs. in a day. Retirement can't come fast enough for me.
