Just curious, how are Labradoodles bred??? do they breed 2 Doodles together ? or do they breed a Lab and and Poodle together ? If I remember biology classes of long ago , hybrids might not breed true , some offspring reverting back to the parent species, you could get 4 pups, 1 Lab ,1 Poodle and 2 Doodles.

Both our dogs were reported to have separation anxiety when we got them from the SPCA, there is no problem now that they are best friends when we leave for a while, the solution was of course a 2nd dog.

X2, my 2 girl friends both came from the Hamilton SPCA, Abby, the brown one is supposedly an Australian Shepherd according to the adoption papers and Elsa is listed as a Lab Mix but I suspect she may be a purebred " Pitador ". Best dogs I've ever had.

Goldendoodles , Labradoodles and Cockapoos are not purebreds

I always liked the 'Outdoors Store " on the south west corner of the QEW and Dixie Rd

I always preferred Gander Mountain and Cabelas for hunting gear over the offerings of Bass Pro, but that was years ago when names like Columbia, Abercrombie and Fitch and L.L. Bean catered to the outdoors hunter's and fishermen's needs rather than designer clothes for the latte sucking, urban yuppie crowd.

I would guess a long shaft would be needed if mounted on the transom, I used a short but it was mounted on a bracket you could raise and lower. Steering wheel or tiller ?

My depression era uncle told of spearing suckers in Twenty Mile Creek above Jordan Harbour in the spring as a kid and they would can them, I'm assuming it would be best to use mason jars and a pressure cooker from my canning experience, the bones would soften during canning process and then not a problem like canned salmon.

407 ????? guess it is not at the CNE grounds anymore .. Think I last went in '82 when I was buying a new boat.

Worms are my go to spring steelhead bait, if you don't want to arouse suspicion I'd stick to open all year round waters for trout for your sucker excursions.

I find a good cooler with a couple of ice pacs keep the fish in the best shape, I mostly troll so a stringer is not a good option and water near the surface is warm. Yeah I had a nice square welded aluminum live well that was a bench seat in my centre console, 20 plus years, never used it as such , plugged the exterior hull holes and used it for tackle storage. Edit : Costco has a nice cooler bag with their Logo on it cheap

One thing that many get wrong, especially open water trollers for suspended fish like Lake O. is that the units measure depth, THEY DO NOT, THEY MEASURE DISTANCE FROM THE TRANSDUCER. You have your transducer mounted at the stern along with a down rigger, letting the ball out on 100 feet of cable will show that the ball is at the 100 foot depth but because it is angled back because of the resistance of the water and the speed of the boat it may actually be at 85 feet. It is the same with marking fish, depending on the frequency of the transducer the area of the cone it sees will vary, so, it may look like the fish are scattered between 80 and a 100 feet deep, but in actuality they may all be precisely at 80 feet with the ones dead centre in the middle of the cone marking at the true depth and those at the edges of the diameter of the cone marking deeper than their actual depth.

I'm leaving mine on, 2006 Jeep Liberty with the gas tank at the back, several cases of them blowing up in low speed impact so there was a recall, the FIX, install a trailer hitch http://www.carcomplaints.com/news/2016/safety-organization-investigation-jeep-fires.shtml the full size spare on the back door pretty much keeps shins out of harm's way

it has been suggested b4 ...........https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1969_White_Paper

Been a while since I've seen that rumour floating around

I may be getting dense in my old age but could some one explain the logic of having to trailer with the drain out to me or is this an inside joke of some sort ?

That playing till some one scored was only in the playoffs, regular season games that were tied at the end of regulation were just that, a tie, game over , with 1 point going to each team.

Probably a big ole Grass Carp, they are used in many jurisdictions for vegetation control in ponds on golf courses, even in Alberta Canada still, they were legally sold and used in Ontario up until 2004 until they got lumped in with the other very undesireable Asian Carp. That is why you keep seeing fake news story about them entering the great lakes, we put them here ourselves

Under the boat in the driveway with a Weller solder gun is a piece of cake, now going back to the cottage years, dad would have me crawl in the narrow space under the cottage with the propane torch and replace burst copper pipe 24th of May when opening up for the season, laying on my back with molten solder dripping Oh yes. in the porcupine poop and usually the blackflies were out too . I still really miss that place

Spring has sprung The grass is riz I wonder where the posies is We've had a half dozen robins around all winter, but there were more than the regulars yesterday along with a flock of male Redwing Blackbirds and a bunch of Grackles in the trees and at the feeder, then last night we had our first thunder boomer

Is Guntersville anywhere near Hog Swaller ? Where's GCD when you need him ?

that sounds about right, maybe even late March the way things are going this year. Definitely b4 trout opener as I would have switched to them if they were open. Mostly fished the channels/canals to the cottages with a fly rod, sponge rubber spider for gills and a white maribou streamer for crappie.

When I lived at Long Point years ago and caught them early spring from shore and wading,I looked for dark bottom like muck as it warmed there fastest, found that the best, same with big Gills at ice out.
