Reminds me of the popular sea fleas that were built from Mechanics Illustrated Plans around 1960, we didn't tweak the motors though

Fair price for lawn maintenance.

As a teen I cut a similar sized place for 3 bucks, that would get you 12 beer and a pack of smokes, doing the math 12 beer is now 20 bucks and smokes are what? $15 , so $ 35 sounds fair. -
In '68 dad bought a cottage on Loon/Dudmon Lake in Haliburton for $8800, sold it in the late '80s for ten times that. It has been extensively renovated but I ran across it up for rent a few years ago , would have cost the same $8800 to rent for 4 weeks 🤯

At Port Colborne and Long Point , there are sanctuary areas that don't open till 2 weeks after the regular opener. Been like that for all my 70 years, simple old solution to the problem, don't waste our money on analyzing the problem further, committees, boards, public feedback, just do it. As for preseasonn catch and release only ? I don't think many keep bass even during the open season. -
It connects with Baptiste which is quite a bit deeper and at one time even had Lake Trout, with the connection it opens more water than most smaller lakes to an avid boater.

We have only flattened the curve here in Niagara, the numbers are not going down yet, what are these idiots thinking by opening things up so soon , going to end up losing the whole summer if it backfires edit: just speaking as part of the most vulnerable segment of society

Wonder if Canadian Tire or the new owner of this will get his money back in the buyout program
-
Be advised , I had a lot of old 50's vintage canning books and hand written recipes, some of those recipes and methods are no longer Ag Canada/USDA approved . But then again I am still here 🤣

Hope it wasn't left all winter with water in it , you need to at least pump some plumbing antifreeze or better one of those squeeze bottles of seal conditioner and antifreeze thought it till it come out the pressure side.

Not OK anymore, the Mini 14 is now on the prohibited list including the Mini 30 , it used to be unregistered, I used one with a 20 round mag for some coyote hunting before the mag restrictions.
-
No, the government is using the wrong term calling all the semi autos on that list " assault rifles " a semi auto clone is no more an assault rifle than the Ford Fusion on your local dealers' lot is a race car cause it has the same body as something they race in NASCAR.
-
Assault rifles have been banned since 1976, only semi auto look alikes have available since then and even most of those have been registered as they are restricted.

There was a big scare about these a few years back, everyone panicked, turned out to be the native Cicada Killers, but that was not reported with the same sensationalist fanfare, everyone missed the retract.

The MNR and Conservation Authority pine plantations down in Norfolk County always had a lot way back when I lived there. Any old pine stands planted in rows around your area? -
My original intent was not a thread for discussion , but perhaps a sticky of the the current list of newly prohibs for reference of the gun owners' here and then closed to posting, this link is the official transcript of the Order in Council http://canadagazette.gc.ca/rp-pr/p2/2020/2020-05-01-x3/html/sor-dors96-eng.html

Official List , to be updated in case they missed some. http://canadagazette.gc.ca/rp-pr/p2/2020/2020-05-01-x3/html/sor-dors96-eng.html

See a lot like the cheap, easily obtainable SKS like CTC sells and the popular Ruger Mini 14 , that aren't even restricted now on the list. With the long gun registry supposedly gone, they have no record of who owns these, betting a few hundred thousand out there, honour system to comply , I guess.
-
This is the best list I have found so far, perhaps it could be a sticky for affected members of the forum. If some one finds a better one , feel free to update https://silvercore.ca/2020/05/01/the-complete-ban-list-of-newly-prohibited-firearms-in-canada-as-of-may-1-2020/

Actually, Lake Ontario is at the end of my street, can walk there for shore casting brown trout in a couple of minutes, but the park and pier are all closed off now.

headlamp in the evening, after dark when it rains, 48 ounce can strapped to each calf, always found damp sphagnum moss to be the best to keep them in.
-
Had this one built a few year's back, will work fine this summer . I'll police the walkers maintaining proper distance. 🤣

The wife and I will continue to isolate until the 2nd wave of infections is over due this foolishness, as I said I am diagnosed COPD and her Emphysema, our chances of survival if we got it would be slim and none. I just hope they continue with the early morning seniors' hours so I can get our weekly essential groceries done.
