Another great report Joonmoon. Congrats to Goog on that beauty pike, and in her PJ's as well. I think I'll wear mine on pike opener this spring and see if I can't land one that big.

Cute pooch, what breed is little Zoey, Joey? It looks like a good apartment sized pup.
-
Nice pics gang, here's one from Guelph lake on New Years day two years ago. There are many great photogs in this community.
-
Watch out! Some of them might be armed. The Force is strong with these ones.
-
Nice work. Soon you'll be fishing out of a tackle box, with a hull, rather than a boat full of baits.
-
Too bad about your luck guys, and Happy B-Day Rich. I think all of you ice fishermen, yes even my brother Joonmoon, are nutcases. But if I was to go out on the ice with anyone it would be nutcases like Sleded, BBR & Joonmoon. The only thing that gets my goat is the apparent lack of breakdancing on ice pics.

What and how many pets do you have? NF
jediangler replied to nautifish's topic in General Discussion
We have a hooded rat named Scooby. Scooby is a great pet and provides my 6 yr old with many hours of enjoyment while they play Barbies. Scooby is about German Shepherd sized compared to Barbie and likes to play in all of Barbies furniture. She especially likes the Barbie stand up shower for some reason, but does not enjoy being dressed up in Barbies clothes. She has a cage but enjoys the run of the apartment when we let her out. She'll come running when you call her or when you open a bag of potato chips. She likes to lick and has never once tried to bite. -
41.6 LB CARP ICED At Cooks Bay!! Another Record Broken!!
jediangler replied to dsn's topic in General Discussion
They sure weren't fishing through a 6" hole. -
That 38.15kg converts to almost 84lbs. Can you say HERNIA?

You could try Shade's Mill Conservation area. It's right in town and has pike, perch and crappie. I would call first to check ice conditions before you go. Puslinch has pike, perch, crappie, bluegill and the odd walleye. Valens has pike, perch, crappie and bluegill as does Guelph lake. Good luck and we like lots of pics.

Sharks are cruising the beaches in South Florida!
jediangler replied to Crazyhook's topic in General Discussion
That was a supercool video man, thanks. Can you imagine how extreme it would be to fish for them from a sit-on-top kayak? This was a black tip shark between 5-6ft long. It was released by the fisherman by cutting the flouro leader at boatside. -
Welcome Mark. Good to see another K/W dude on the board. Looking forward to your reports and pics from the upcoming season.
-
Speaking of nice smallies, the Impaler caught this 21.5"er in a quarry, that's connected to the Speed between Guelph & Cambridge.
-
A little blood on your bait probably attracted that shark for you What no pics? Have fun, and be a little more careful eh?

I don't know if it still exists, but if you want to go out and enjoy some night-life, Mother Fletcher's was the best bar in Myrtle Beach 20 years ago.

Had a buddy at work who used a 4runner to haul 2 jetskis on a trailer for many years. His was a 1995 model and he had 375,000km on it when he rolled it in 2001.

This might be a side-step but, the Aztec was made in Ramos Mexico along with the Sunfire. This plant now builds the Rendezvous for Buick and the HHR for Chevy. This is Mexico's oldest GM plant and this is the best they can do? I'd trust the Ingersol boys with their affiliation with Suzuki first. I work with owners of both the Torrent and the Equinox. They have had no problems in the first year of ownership. I would look at a Toyota Highlander and pay the extra bucks for the reliability that will surely outlast anything GM can offer. Hey Steve, try to take out a Toyota FJ Cruiser, it's a six cyl but should be plenty powerful enough. If you must have an 8 cyl, try the 4runner. If they are too expensive it is because they are far superior in quality.

I have the Abu C4's in 5600 and 6500. I love the 5600 for bucktail burning over weeds and for surface bulging. I don't throw any heavy lures and have not had a problem with either of these reels over the past 5 years. I only musky fish about 10 -12 days a year.

Done, Over, Finished. Looking Back At 06.

Wow, you're my hero. I'd say that would be a decade's worth of fish for me. Wish I could get out on the water as often as you do. In 1993, when I was unemployed, I got out 73 times. I guess that's why they call them the "Good old days". Looking forward to all your reports for 2007. You've got my vote for OFC'er of the year. -
It was a great game. Canada outshot 12-2 in OT. Price slides back into the net during a save in the shootout, may have been a goal. They'll have to give an effort 3 times what they did against the USA if they expect to beat the Russians. With a really good goalie and superior speed the Russians will be twice as hard to beat as the Yanks. Canada will have to dig deep and use our secret weapon, HEART. Go Canada Go

My six year old daughter has quite a thing for grubs as well. She keeps them in a tupperware container full of water. Everytime I come home from fishing, she's at the door waiting for any grubs that I've used so she can add them to her collection. We went to BPS last year, I thought she would really be impressed with the aquarium. She was way more excited about the huge selection of grubs in every colour imaginable. She ended up buying a pack of grubs in pink sparkle. I don't know what it is about them but even when we fish together she can't wait to get the grub off the hook so she can play with it.

My Dad had his torn retinas done in London at St. Jo's last year. They told him that cataracts are inevitable as well. They are a great bunch of talented people down there. Good luck man.

Joonmoon & I went to Guelph lake on New Years day, and caught a frog while searching for lures in the stump fields. He wouldn't pose for a pic though. Water was high for January, about six feet higher than in the past. Most of the best snagging stumps were still under water so we didn't find any lures this year. Only the back bays protected from wind had ice, and it was only an inch thick.

Thanks Pinch. If you are looking for ideas for rigging your yak for fishing, try out this forum from Kayak Fishing Stuff in the U.S. It has forums for owners of different yaks, Do-it-Yourself forums & site specific fishing reports. http://kfs.infopop.cc/groupee/forums There are 8047 registered members. I think OFC is approaching 1000. Good people and very helpful info on all types of kayak fishing. A very large and devout following of Hobie Mirage drive kayak owners.

Where is Fogh Marine? There is an Adventure Guide store in Waterloo but the prices are crazy high.
