  1. Good one Bro .
  2. Here is a link to the 10 best and 10 worst new cars on the market. No surprises here. http://ca.autos.yahoo.com/p/958/best-and-w...performing-cars Remember when Ford's tagline was "Have you driven a Ford, lately?" The only car I ever owned that needed both the engine and transmission replaced was my Ford.
  3. Good one Dan. I'm in the same boat, worked midnights this week and now I can't sleep.
  4. Found this fun website for making your own cartoon movies. http://www.xtranormal.com It's a fun way to kill an hour. You can email the finished movie to friends or post it on youtube like I did with these two. This is a John Lennon tribute, with my dance moves perfectly replicated at the end.
  5. Great story Lew. You'll have to go out west and take a dive to visit the old girl as she rests on the ocean floor. I'll have to ask my Dad what they did with his old ship. He was stationed in Dartmouth N.S. from 1955-1960.

  7. What's a JHSM? Jolly, hairy, sock mender?
  8. Last time I checked, the unions weren't in charge of designing crappy cars that have decades old technologies. The OLD 3, we must stop calling them BIG, have been falling farther and farther behind. Even if they give them a cash boost, the thousands of workers they have eliminated won't ever buy their cars again. While we are on the subject, buying used North American cars does not give you the right to harass those who prefer quality cars made elsewhere. You are not supporting anything but your local used car dealer. I work in the auto industry heat treating 3.0L Ford V6 aluminum engine blocks that haven't changed in 3 years. I'm in the CAW and I don't make enough money to buy a new car, unless it was made in South Korea. I drive a 15 year old Lexus and a 12 year old Toyota. My Lexus still drives better than a new Malibu.
  9. Pike-36", Guelph lake. Walleye-27", Puslinch lake. Smallmouth-20", Guelph lake. Rainbow-8lbs, Bronte creek. No digital pic.
  10. Wow, that certainly is an old one. I thought my 74 Johnson 2hp was a relic. I'm sure someone will have some help for you. .
  11. Nice eyes, congrats. Personally I found the meat changed colour, and taste, when they exceeded 3lbs at BOQ. I respect your right to eat your catch though, enjoy.
  12. Nice work, and all very healthy looking critters too.
  13. I'm sure it's legit, but the fact that foxnews broke the story makes me a little suspicious .
  14. Nice fish man. That's gotta be more fun than raking leaves. I gotta get me a pontoon boat .
  15. I use three berkley Gorilla sticks that sell at CTC for $39. They've landed skis up to 49" for me. Of course I throw mainly bucktails, slopmasters & J-13 or SS rapalas. Not that big of baits really.
  16. Nice haul sleded, and thanks for not putting up pics of them battered and cooked on a plate. Those pics always make me hungry.
  17. Very nice eye. Your new boat must be a lucky one.
  18. What are you doing tomorrow? call me .
  19. Great report Bro. Nice eye Sis. Is that a PB rainbow for you Joonmoon? Did it come home too? You'll have to guide me on a kayak trip down at that end of the Grand sometime.
  20. This isn't my first time dealing with job loss, had a plant closure back in 1992, learned that worrying about things beyond my control was a waste of time and energy. Fishing does cure all, or if not, makes you at least forget your troubles while you are fishing. Joonmoon, I'm sure that was my PB sucker of all time. I thought I had a carp on until I got it close to shore. I'm hoping to get the yak out this coming week as it looks like the last of the beauty weather for this fall. Reports to follow , I hope.
  21. Congrats on the new PB Cliff, and a nice clean and healthy looking ski it was. Truly a day to remember .
  22. This perch was caught on a 1/16oz pink tubejig.
  23. Had a meeting with our CAW local union boys this morning at 9:30am. Took the poles along since there was a stretch of the river that the Shipper had never fished. After hearing the bad news, more layoffs and no optimism for the future, we decided to cast away our worries and let them flow downstream. The target was smallmouth bass and I had come prepared with a 1/8oz pumpkinseed tubejig. The Shipper was using a 1/8oz white jig & grub combo. We had the river all to ourselves, as far as we could see in either direction. We saw geese, heron, kingfisher, mallards and an osprey all singing along with the sounds of titanium drivers off the tee at the private course across the river. This was our only bass, a 14incher that couldn't resist the tubey. Both of these rubber lippers were hooked inside the mouth, proving that powerbait does work like live bait sometimes. The hike back to the car was such a workout, uphill all the way, that I think the Shipper will need a nap to recover from it. One hour on the river and all the stress of a tense meeting was gone. What comes, comes, and we'll deal with that at the time.
  24. Was that a pontoon you were fishing out of? Man, I've seen more musky pics in a pontoon boat this year than ever before. Could be the new secret musky hunting machine of the future.
  25. Bridgeport is the only place that I have been shot at while fishing as well. Back maybe 20 or so years ago I was fishing the flats about 3km upstream from where you were off of Kraft rd. The difference was they were using a 22. They shot into the water within 10ft of where we were wading in the river. Being young and stupid, we started swearing at them to put the gun away and come down and get their keisters kicked. They promptly jumped in their jeep and came right down to see us. My buddy, who lived in Bridgeport, recognized the ringleader and called him by name. He was the oldest of 3 or 4 brothers that lived there who were always getting in trouble. Once he realized we knew his name he said to his buddies "I'm not going back to jail because of this" and they hit the road. We used to call them the "Ruffians". They all wore those red plaid jackets and hung around in gangs of 6 or 8. You could never find one alone.
