  1. If you go north on Sturgeon rd. from the town of Omemee and turn right onto Peace rd. then follow it until it crosses Pigeon river you will find a launch there. It is right across the river from Emily provincial park. There is a launch in the town of Omemee as well.
  2. I used my old 14' transom model Sportspal with two adults and two children under 8yrs old. We were on a small lake and had no problem with the weight. They do get blown in the wind but I always had a drift sock along and that solved the problem nicely. The full transom is more stable than the squareback as it is wider all the way to the back. A bathtub would be easier to paddle so get a trolling motor. I always used foam blocks and put it directly on the roof of my car for travel. I had it for 14 years and just recently sold it to frozen-fire on this forum. Used ones sell quickly so keep an eye on Kijiji and Craigslist daily for them to come up. If you see one by someones cottage stop and ask them if they are willing to sell it. Good luck with the search.
  3. Great pic. Rockbass truly are "The Worlds Greatest Sportfish". Soon he'll be lip gripping big smallies.
  4. I'll be in my kayak, somewhere in the Kawarthas. I'll decide where when I see which way the wind is going. Good luck to all who venture out.
  5. Go to crappy tire and get 2 Mepps musky killers, one gold blade black bucktail and one silver blade red bucktail. Then buy a J-13 Rapala in orange.
  6. 1/8oz jig & grub combo in white
  7. That's one happy little fisherman. Great pics for a blackberry.
  8. That is one sweet ride. I can't believe how close the houses in the backround of that pic are getting to the river. Big expansion the last few years in these little towns.
  9. Hey big guy, I'll look the other way, as long as you travel by horse and buggy, make your own clothes, use a cane pole and cook them up without electricity. D'oh, Archie you beat me to it.
  10. I'll PM you when I've decided, depends on which way the wind is going to blow.
  11. I've fished that bridge and many others over the Nith river. I believe they are fishing for pike. There are bass and carp as well as some perch. A buddy of mine once caught a 33" pike from under that very bridge. I was fishing the Conestoga river in Macton once when a C.O. came by and started checking everyone for their license. There were about a dozen people fishing for pike on both sides of the river. After checking eight people they left without checking the mennonite family of 4 fishing right beside me.
  12. Nice crappies frozen-fire. That sunset shot is a beauty.
  13. Won't matter anyway, they are still going to go under. Quality will now go down due to workers wages being cut and senior workers will have to do jobs previously done by younger workers so injuries will go up. All that money didn't help my job in the auto industry. Lowest seniority worker at my old plant started there in 1979.
  14. This is one made by a young kid but very informative.
  15. I dragged my OFC tourney sign around a couple of years back. Our captain went MIA and the tourney results were never added up. I hated that I put all those fish through the added stress for nothing. I guess this could fall under the emergency toilet paper as well.
  16. Toilet paper? Why do you think Weeds brings along a copy of the regs?
  17. Top 5 reasons to catch a fish: 1) 1/16oz red jig with a yellow 2" grub 2) 1/8oz white jig with a white 3" grub 3) any size black jitterbug 4) J-13 orange rapala 5) Musky Killer gold blade with black buck
  18. Hook stone for sticky sharp points.
  19. Been wondering all spring what you were up to. Great pics and that filth hound meal looks great.
  20. I don't know anything about the launch but I'm sure someone will enlighten you to the fees and details. Should be a good day for it, good luck.
  21. Some people can't catch them when it's legal. Too hard for them. They'll catch them out of season and take pictures and call them Personal Bests. Poachers Best, I say.
  22. Elephant lake is polluted with pike, you can't miss there.
  23. Great report and pics Anders. That 27"er is a beauty. And I like your hat too. I think the Bruins would be giving the Red Wings more of a battle than the Pens are. Thanks for posting.
  24. Good going Joon & Goog. You two always manage to catch something, that new boat must be lucky.
  25. Port Perry's weather report said that winds were gusting up to 65km/h today.
