  2. YES!!!! Most have too much of a hook but this looks exactly like what I'm looking for
  3. Looking for a narrow blade The wide blades pull into the fillets
  4. Pretty much yeah But looking for something with a handle that will be comfortable cleaning a pail of perch The one I posted is the best looking handle I have found in my search
  5. I've had 100mph and cabelas guidewear I vote guidewear
  6. Good evening I've been looking around for a knife for the sole purpose of cleaning perch I don't mean a fillet knife... Anyone that cleans them the way I do ... removes the dorsal... slit belly... remove head... skin.. fillet... you know what I mean The old boys used to grind down their blades in a machine shop to the point that they looked like a jailhouse shank The closest thing I can find is a wood carving bench knife pictured below but imagine that blade on a regular size pocket knife handle Anyone have any suggestion on a small blade knife? Thanks
  7. That's pretty awesome More graceful than how I got my wife lmao
  8. Great to hear about people being recognized for their work My wife was surprised with an unexpected Christmas bonus this year for picking up extra workload I'm also lucky enough to be treated very well by my employer
  9. I got lower amp charger as it's rare for me to spend back to back full days on the trolling motor... and it's also rare for me to drain the battery in a day On the weekends where the plan is to cast musky for 2-3 days then I use my car charger on the TM battery In all honesty I only use the car charger like 1-2 times a year... If you fish a lot of back to back days and you use your trolling motor a lot get the highest amps you can afford All that said I have a noco 2 bank 8 amp (4 per bank) and no issues
  10. USPS never have any issues I'm lucky I'm on the border and it's 10 minutes to the fedex store in NY state I can send packages there for $3 per package and I have 1-2 weeks to pick em up before I get charged storage fees And if it's under $100 of goods customs usually doesn't pull me in For comparison... a package to NY state from an online store is usually free or like $10 USD tops... same package to ship it into Canada will range from $25-35 USD So in some cases (after store fee and bridge toll) I still save $25 on shipping or more if I don't get pulled in for duty cause I don't pay tax
  11. Unless there is good flow all winter or a spring with high oxygen levels they don't winter there That is really shallow We have a HUGE pond in my area fed in by a creek and out by a culvert that is screened in Every few years there are hundreds of dead carp after the ice melts due to low oxygen This pond is about 1.5 on long and mostly 2-7 feet deep
  12. That's a great deal Love my LED lights
  13. Yeah it doesn't take much 100 lb to fill Then tie on a 8-10" glide bait and she goes!!!
  14. I could almost spool my curado 300 casting with 100lb braid on it lol I always buy 150 yd spools and try to get it all on my reel If you gotta put backing I use 50lb mono so if by some chance I get to my backing it'll do the job
  15. Stick with the 80-100 lb PP
  16. You got me looking now Sounds like a good trip
  17. Do you do tournaments where you need to keep fish alive? If not then no need for a well We use a stringer in dads boat and it does just fine My buddy uses a soft cooler bag and 1-2 frozen 2 litre bottles without concern Don't get me wrong I love my livewell... but it's not nessesaru for everyone
  18. I leave mine in... been in since I got my truck 9 years ago If you get that close to my truck and punch a hole in your bumper tough cookies... you deserve it Also to hit your shins your within inches of my truck... again good for you... lol
  19. They're all really good nowadays Definitely get color sonar/gps combo Side imaging is pretty cool too I find Humminbird is easy to use but lowrance has better capability for an experienced electronics guy I personally like Humminbird and haven't really had any major issues If I get another unit it will have auto chart (i think that's what it's called) where I can make my own maps
  20. Gotta love media panic Grass carp have been around a long time I saw one about 10 years ago on the river Theses aren't the devastating water destroying jumpers
  21. The mesh is where frabil dropped the ball It'll do just fine tho
  22. I live on the border so I shipped to NY state and got mine back to Ontario for $59.99 free shipping and $7 bridge toll I agree to shop local when you can but to pass up $290 USD in savings on a single item so the guy down the road can profit $100 Canadian does not make any sense... one way the local shop has an extra $100 CAN in his pocket and the other way I have an extra $280 USD in my pocket Then I took that saved cash and bought a new reel at the local tackle shop Everybody wins there
  23. Thought I'd share the deal I got one a few weeks back and it looks like they have more Over $300 USD on frabil site for $59.99 Dicks sporting goods
