  1. Out cottage area was infested with them for a few years.... We had a tank that was 3.5'x5' and about 3' deep for minnows... One night I went fishing and put my catch of 4 walleye in the tank LIVE to clean in the morning... When I got up they were all gone and there were little mink tracks all over the tank... One of the walleye was pushing 5lbs... Couldn't believe they could catch and kill a fish that big... Another time I was dropping off my buddy on shore cause he has to go to work... He made 2 trips to his truck... First for tackle and second for fish... When he returned for the fish his entire stringer was bouncing across the rocks with a mink leading the way... Lol
  2. Glad I only fish less then 25 feet... They'll see everything I throw.... Lol
  3. Well in glad you all think they'd be good for trout... Lol.., Hopefully the walleye feel the same... Now as far as rigging... Is my set up correct? In your opinions?
  4. Hey everyone... In the spirit of continuously learning... I picked up some wiggle-glo beads... It's like a spin-n-glow but has a flat face so it wiggles like a crankbait... I'm gunna be trying them for walleye this weekend... Just wondering if anyone here uses them? What species do you catch on them? How do YOU rig them? Bait or no bait? I was gunna rig em exactly like a regular worm harness but swap the blade for the wiggle-glo...
  5. Great to hear... I guess she was meditating... Lol Great report
  6. 8 fish day is awesome... Did the big girl survive? Judging by her eyes I'm guessing no... Hopin I'm wrong tho....
  7. More for winter maintenance charging.... The 2 bank was on sale so I figured id get it instead of a 1 bank...
  8. The wire at the fuse is tiny... That's why I figured the 14 or 16 gauge cord would work... The extension cord wires are thicker then the wires on the charger...
  9. It's only a 4 amp per bank charger with 15 amp fuse on each bank...
  10. I have an orange extension cord that was damaged... But there's 20+ feet that are fine... I need to wire the 2nd bank on my on board charger to the back of my boat to my starter battery.... This wire should be fine right? Just looking to repurpose this unusable extension cord...
  11. I don't understand why these people don't get a job!!!!! Buy their own things...
  12. Your right... For a 30,000 hp engine they're super quit...
  13. Nice fish.... Especially for the rideau
  14. I don't have much lake experience... But I would suggest fishing the same spot but deeper... Or fish in any deeper channels close to these night spots... Use your sonar to find em... I fish clear water and have caught walleye in 2-80 feet of water... They'll go anywhere they want...
  15. Always worth posting reports.... Especially with pics... : ) That first pic is a snake... Crazy
  16. http://themorrisburgnews.ca/john-b-aird-ran-aground-late-last-night A ship ran ground on the st lawrence and got stuck...
  17. Usually just have to work harder to get em off the same spots you've been catching on... I personally fish fast till I find some active fish then work em over... Slow down... Try different baits... Etc... Not all the fish will be shut down... Just gotta find some that wanna play...
  18. That's where you literally need to know the area BETTER then the back of your hand... And even then... a GPS and years of experience can't predict where that floating log is... I dodged one with Andrew and Pete a couple weeks ago that looked like a section from a telephone pole it was so big... Missed it by a few feet... Luckily it was light out... We would have been in serious trouble... I tend to back off on the throttle at night... I know it'll still be bad but i'd rather hit a log at 18-20mph then 35... And even if you know the water... travel in the deeper areas and when you get to where you wanna fish slow down and putter in... It's a win win... Safer and you won't scare the fish...
  19. Very cool... Gotta love when the fish make you laugh and giggle like little kids again... And nothing does it better then double and triple headers...
