  1. Maybe... But as of now we have no slot and a "keeper" here is 3-4 pounds... 2 of them per person is plenty... Heck 1 of them would feed my family of 4... What I would like is instead of a lake by lake solution... Tighten up everywhere.... Then the MNR/government wouldn't be playing god with travel and tourism folks' livelihoods.... I feel bad for the people working on places like Nip... Most people I've had the pleasure to fish with aren't meat starved fisherman looking to go home with big bags of fish... They want to learn how to fish and get a meal or 2 of fish in the process... But I guess I'm lucky in regards to the people I get to fish with...
  2. They wear fast... I wouldn't put em on till you need em and take em off asap
  3. I had blizzaks on an intrepid.... Rediculous what that car plowed through...
  4. I don't see a problem with a 2 fish limit... 2 walleye should feed a person.... I'd have no issues if my limit went from 4/day to 2/day here... I only keep fish once every 3-4 trips out anyways....
  5. You guys should come to the st lawrence in late May/early June.... Carp fishing is crazy....
  6. You've heard of prairie oysters... Those tumors are "LARRY OYSTERS"... Lol
  7. Cool video... I know exactly where you were.... Lol I've fished there before....
  8. You see it when the waters cold tupically... Like mike said... Spring spawn or even fall when big numbers stage... I still fry em... Lol
  9. I've just seen a few guys having their fogged motors choking smoking sputtering and shaking at first start up.... I can't see that being easy on the newer high tech 4 strokes... And like Bill said... They don't sit long... Longest mine sat in the last 10 years was 3 months last winter... Most years it's 2 months...
  10. Looks yummy... I'd go a touch further from your porch tho... I know a guy that burnt down his house setting up just like you did there.... I've never had fried Turkey but I think ittl be in my near future...
  11. Same here... We never do squat to any of our motors and no issues... Fire up in a jiffy in the spring....
  12. I run a little marine stabil in almost every tank all year... For the price it's cheap peace of mind.... First tank or 2 in the spring gets done seafoam to make sure nothing got gummy...
  13. Dad got a 50+ inch musky once... It jumped and he noticed a large black object on the side of its head... Ended being a big black believer... Well he told his tale at the legion over some pints as any of us would and wouldn't you know it... The guy that lost the fish was there... He was one of our neighbors... He was pretty upset when he found out how big she was...
  14. Looks like a blast.... Nothing wrong with pounding numbers sometimes in place of size...
  15. And our police department can't be bothered... I know people that have called the PD while witnessing a theft and they're were told "sorry we don't have time for that" I witnessed a punk smash my neighbors mirror off their car... I followed him in my truck and called the police... They told me to "go home and tell my neighbor to call them"... I was looking at the criminal right in front of me and they wouldn't even bother... It's no wonder crime rate is what it is...
  16. Sometime between midnight and 8am... I'm actually in a good neighborhood on a busy road... Across the road from the hospital... Couple schools nearby... Just a city full of welfare bums and crack heads with no respect for hard working people....
  17. Yes serrated... 2 blades moving oposite each other... Ittl cut through any part of the fish you want... I takes a little getting used to but I have a few buddies that'll never go back from electric... And trust me there's no more wasted meat the with a regular knife... I find you get more meat off actually... Only issue is with smaller fish you need to develope I fine touch with it our you'll go through the spine.... And NEVER replace your blades... I'm gunna be lost for a while with this new knife... I'll be cutting through the spine cause in used to 10 year old blades... Lol
  18. Of your average keeper is under 20 inches it's not a big deal... Our average "keeper" walleye is about 23-24 inches.... I slab em with the electric... Get all the messy deal done in a flash... Then I remove the ribs with a regular fillet knife... Anyone who's Sean me clean a 12 fish limit is usually impressed... My fillets look as smooth as a grocery store....
