  1. Look at the nut area and hub for little curly tails rubber or plastic. Takes a pro to fix or buy new.
  2. Rice is just being Rice. Wicked mayfly hatch today. Started at 10 my trolling motor quit at noon. Got a doz.
  3. Had the opposite phoned buddy about a Pro Craft on a Wed. He was going on mid nights and didn't want to do it on Thurs. Cooled my jets until Mon. went had a look did the deal. Fished Muskoka Pike yesterday had a little dead battery issue. That's my excuse for crapping the bed. Boat ran great went about 50-60 miles for 1/3 of tank maybe $40 and hardly any oil I'm stoked.
  4. I've seen the ring ones at CTC. Some have 3 screws going thru a round piece of aluminum with a chain out the middle.
  5. Is the motor super easy to turn when not running. Thiers adjuster screw. It's on the shaft that the motor turns on. Get that adjusted then mess with the trim tap.
  6. I use same one. If you have a problem just jump your wire to front post. Then you know if it's your breaker.
  7. You could go to Ommemee quick. Launch in town. I would go north and launch at RiverView bridge.
  8. Sinker do have Unique bearing system common on EZ Loader Custom Trailers. Skeeters and Sprint have them. They have a cigar like stainless steel ring with a hole in it. Also have odd size seal on inside. I spent $160 to have one of these rings overnighted from Washington. Part $1
  9. Most bass tackle is pike tackle so I would go to Lake Ontario Pier. Just keep your cast short and you should see any bass before they are hooked. I will be at Newcastle pier one day this week modifying a jerk bait for pike.
  10. For Steelheading I use Phantom 4.4 and 5.6. For snapping bucktails I use 20lb Bass Pro Shop XPS. I did my own study and found a trible surgeon knot and XPS would last for a full day and a few hours the next morning. The knot would stand up put the flouro would break about 2 cm below the knot. XPS hasn't let me down put with so many new lines the study should be done again.
  11. The Hyland in Port Perry has good Bfast not sure of opening time. The owner fishes trout at the ganny. It's at the bottom of hill pass the gas station. Great dinner menu.
  12. Ye old Bowmanville Truck stop. Most of the servers have been there for 30 years. And things will defiantly slid in and slid Out.
  13. Another weakness with to long of jerkbait rod is your ability to make quick direction changes. And very short twitches are difficult.
  14. I assume these are casting rods. I'm also 6 ft tall and would never throw jerks on a 7ft rod. Even the 6:6 I use on Simcoe is a little long. Most of my jerkbaiting is with a 6ft rod. Spinning 7 ft no.
  15. Totally embarrassed that I missed tues meeting. My only excuse I bought a new to me boat on mon and sent tues messing with it. If anybody went could you report.
  16. Win the pike side of Kiwanis derby this weekend. Win Muskoka Pike tourney and Win the Canada US Walleye on Sturgeon. These have been my goals for 5-8 years so age is creeping time to get serous.
  17. The Shimano small ones are my favorite. With the bent fingers. Small enough to do smaller split ring and a little easier to see. And I have a pair from CTC little smaller than drifters I think. They came in blue for $11.99 and pink for $4.99. Mine are pink. Just cheap. Those one Mike use don't grip the smaller spilt ring but the are the best for cleaning paint from jig eyes. Always have a pair in boat.
  18. They must have been coming and going quicker. About 8-9 at Dale rd and 1 at Hwy 28 at 8:30 and maybe 15 at Dale and 6 at 28 when I left at 12:30. Slower for me on Sunday mostly talking to people I see once a year.
  19. As predicted little tougher today. By the lack of cars on 28 and Sylvan Glen I would guess it was a bust yesterday. I get to fish the trout club it was OK. Expect great drop back fishing in a week to 10 days.
  20. Wasn't a slam fess but lot's caught. Just about everything worked. Tomorrow when the breal trout fishing starts. I'm going perchn.
  21. First few hours they should be nice and stupid, don't sweat it just fish.
  22. Nice new bridge sitting across the road from the farm I grew up on just west of Whitby on Hwy 2. Use to shot jack rabbits. And trapped pheasants on Garden St. in Whitby it was a gravel rd.
  23. Perfect place to grow medical weed.
  24. Just a few morons having there fun. A child could play inside for there life and never be exposed to more radiation than your house. The places were a child could be exposed are controlled like fort knox everybody signs off on everything. You can't take a paper clip with you. You are tested going in and out of these areas. You are tested and then shower before you put your street clothes to leave Mandatory.
  25. We had some great bush party's in my teen years at Chalk. Most of Whitby, Brooklin would be there.
