  1. Likely the clutch not engaging in your lower unit. At this point it's relatively cheap to fix. If it blows apart and breaks casings it will hurt.
  2. wd 40 Twice a year
  3. Then a G Bay smallies would drown both towing them backwards.
  4. A 4lb Kawartha's smallies will whip a 6 lb Simcoe smallie 10 out of 10 times.
  5. Between the 2 I would pick the best restaurant. Bewdley Pizza or the Hyland. As for fishing the fish different with same results.
  6. except Balsam
  7. Cops showed up that's amazing. My Misty River ripped off they sent me to order desk. Well they called it reports desk. Felt like order desk.
  8. Use strait STP on old wreck cars my boss sold cheap. Never burn a drop of oil (for a week or 2). And he got a lot of motor swap jobs.
  9. I guess the difference is I've had my hands in all kinds of 2 strokes. Maybe they have improved the formula I still wouldn't do it. I also wouldn't buy cheap brands made in some third world country with a chemist from cracker box U. Cheap oils are carbon factory's and 1 look you can tell the owner has been using garbage. Mixing natural oil and synthetic looks stringy and goopy. Like my engines running clean.
  10. Some boats are really hard to see. I mean real boats. And you add in bad light condition it's a challenge. Shouldn't have been a problem on Scugog this weekend.
  11. Another thing you guys don't want to hear is 2 strokes Love good oil. At the rate you are changing oil for a few dollars I assume happy savings. When I raced motocross you could tell the motors with cheap oil even if they had 3-4 hrs on a set of rings. Also were I learned to not mix natural with synthetic it's a gunk show. With new motors I use the factory oil until long after warranty then make 1 switch to good quality after market oil. Last motor did blow up but it had over 1400 hrs on a bass boat. It was a cracked water jacket, the pistons, walls and rings great shape.
  12. Keep playing with fire.
  13. I've fished in 3-4 different 20 ft Skeeters all ran nice good layout. The problem is Yamaha parts and good dealers. And of course if it's a U.S. motor no warranty. Ranger 519 nice boat spent a lot of time looking for one this spring no success. Did you see that Pro Craft on CBAF. Same boat I bought runs nice seeps gas compared to my old 6 carb merc.
  14. The area in front of Port boat launch can be nightmare. Was running in there and buddy with about a 400 ft rope is towing the kids. Wasn't real close but up setting.
  15. If you are currently using synthetic maybe. Never heard of a semi synthetic oil . If you were using a natural oil and decided switch to synthetic the whole system needs to be drained and start over with. Natural and synthetic are not happy together and your motor will blow-up. That Mystic stuff from BPS is natural and it's likely fine just don't mix with synthetic.
  16. Lot's of small guys and not so small hitting the tackle swap. Most well attended. The Bowmanville Swap has max there building and likely are moving to Newcastle. There's 1 in Trenton/Stirling, Hamilton, one near the airport. Think table space under $80 mixer of new and used. The key to all booths is to talk to people, sounds crazy but you see booths all the time with to much staff all huddle telling there story's.
  17. Canadian Money Forum has a Real estate section that would help you out.
  18. You will be happy it's a US dealer. Here if they say 2 weeks it's coming from US. If they say 3 weeks it's on a boat and your season is done.
  19. Could be a lot of things, not likely minor. Did you check the lower unit oil for chunks, and did the plugs have any metal on them. Yamaha doesn't have a cross border agreement it's at there discretion. That and bad parts supply keep lots from buying.
  20. I resemble that remark!
  21. Likely Sandy Lake and the boat launch is or was private.
  22. It would be how extreme conditions you will face. Eire and St Clair I would be putting the backing on. Larger size stainless steel bolts and nuts.
  23. SI you can't fish. You drive around the lake at 4-6 mph doing grids. The stuff you can find is amazing. Just think if you could find out 1 or 2 things about the spots you fish now. Don't dream that you fished this spot and know it. As said if you never turn it on it will never work for you. 360 image is a ton more money but you can fish when using it and make cast to areas 75 ft away. The Garmin forward looking I can't wait to use it.
  24. I watched some of the live footage. Looked like Edwin was hitting little 2ndary pt likely main land, firing the bait up current and letting it swing around the pt. He likely hit a 100. You would need to be in great shape getting up and down that many times. I lost the elite series dream quick, couldn't spend that much time on the road.
  25. Some work with a snap and some don't. I use Berkley Cross Lock.
