  1. Trout is open
  2. roe bags work good.
  3. As you read above, sand grit and they don't work. I also cut one off.
  4. I leave mine in. One of the local car wash drive thru decided it need to be removed. I left and a apparently lots of others did to. Sign gone no issue. I did buy a pin with a big wire that goes done under the receiver to other side. Couple towns where a problem and not likely not kids pulling your cotter key. This monster is easily watched.
  5. Sucker show the trout have gone up.
  6. So you take your 7 years old to busiest 200 ft in all steelheading and you expect 50ft. Crowd fishing is a skill. I don't think any 7 year old is ready for that.
  7. To many good parts left on this truck for a chop shop.
  8. The only none English speaking slicers I've seen all have 12-15 trout rods.
  9. The slicers and dump are Steelheaders. The less skilled anglers are there for food. It's true they my not always hook them in the mouth but they take them home and eat them. The pitch, net crew as always poacher trash.
  10. On the 1st Sat I was there 11 tournament in progress with easily 1500 boats. Randy Howell won the Bassmasters Classic on a red crankbait and standard is red rattle traps ripped over the milfoil for spawners. Remember the shad are 14 inches long mim. It's something about the crayfish being Texas red.
  11. There are many Chinese, Korean, Russian, Sir Lankin etc. that are fishing up threw town that are less than skilled anglers. They are not the ones gutting fish for roe! The ones gutting fish all own 12-15 foot rods walk around 2 k of cloths and are generally called Steelheaders. And the crazy thing is I can gift a fish with or without the roe. It takes no brain power to pick them out. Port Hope has 4 Tim Horton in a tiny town. Port Hope has a 2% problem and they are proposing 80% solution. I think it will last one year until local small biz start screaming. My problem is it will be the best year of my life so I say do it, here's my $40. They are also open up a huge human rights/discrimination case. Everybody else can use parks just not anglers.
  12. 2 years ago construction in Ohio was brute. Was going tell you some baits that work but you will see all the red ones. I would walk a different direction.
  13. I went to Gunterville 2 years ago. You will see more bass boats in 1 day than the rest of your life here. You are about the time frame of the big bass challenge. Weigh bass every hour for great prizes. Defiantly a tourist town didn't see any low end areas. We stayed a the motel just threw town. Could see bridge Randy Howell won on. Best tackle stores are gas stations. The thread fin shad are 14 inches long so bring your big stuff.
  14. Catch and release crappie fishing is degusting.
  15. I seen a cougar about 10 years ago on the main road out of the park. Sun was in my eyes just enough that I wasn't fairly certain at what I saw.
  16. What colour of black bucktail are you using for those wally's. May 7-10 ft so you will likely need the inflatable. Pike is also open in May an bass not until June.
  17. book early very popular and nice beach.
  18. You can move your boat forward/back by 3 cm and greatly affect your weight distribution. Just un bolt your winch mast and move in appropriate direction.
  19. My Merc smart gauge tells hours.
  20. Just take a pic of your info. Same with my licence, I always carry my wallet but have pic on my phone.
  21. It's at the high school this year. Just a little west and behind Home Depot.
  22. My funniest launch assist was on Couch. We where staying at that camp just up the Longford rd. Day campers are in that parking lot beside hwy. Just brutal. The launch ramp is in a creek nice and calm no wind. Buddy can back in when he finally gets there the winch is under water. I'm still patient. 10 try's later I walk down and offer assistance buddy curdy said No. The said yes please and just rips buddy. I jump in his van pull out move trailer over and not in the water so far. Told buddy to get in and drive on . He starts protesting wife tells him to shut up. One minutes later I have hook and out of the way. She made him come over to our camp to thank me later that day.
  23. Yes dealers are to blame. They know when people have zero experience launching boats and they take the money a send out for us to deal with.
  24. I lay the blame at the door step of marine dealers. They just want to cash the check and fix what people break. Can't tell you how many times I've offered assistance to be told they just picked the boat up down the street.
  25. City Folk. I've rubbed Herby behind ear and ate him many many times. Had a Scarborough buddy ask if I've ever killed chickens, nearly doubled over laughing. About a thousand a year until 25.
