It's true just before the crash I finished 3rd with 37 lbs. All the walleyes where 3.3 and then big stuff. I had 1 6lber Jimmy Lord had a 6 and a 7 and John McDonald had 6,7,8 but the fishery was un balanced. These It is more balanced and you just don't no what your next bite will be.

Mustang Auto inflate same thing have wore it house and woke up later with it on. I have a seconds one newer that I don't find as comfortable.

I like the walleye fishing now over 30 years ago on all the Kawrathas . There was a bazillion 16 inch walleye 30 years ago. Now you never know what just hit could be 1 lb could be 8lb. Way more fun. What has changed is water clarity and there for fish location.

Just let the fish tell you.

Who is the Phoenix dealer. I look them over at Andy's show and thought they where a little rough around carpet install corners, just not great fit and finish. Tighting screws on Phoenix is full time job according a friend that owns 1. Which they all do that if you run them hard in big stuff. You likely know this boat Triton TRX 21 Grey Yellow stripe every time I'm in this boat I'm reminded what a great boat it is. Picking a boat is like picking somebody to live with. If it works for you go for it.

I don't have my map handy. If you came out Hogg Bay you can run between shore and that island and then channel is straight ahead and little left. To far left really bad. From Waubensene you will see marker buoys going both directions. No marker buoys STOP. If you ever get up there on a day you can see in water will scare you to death.
-
There is inside channel lot's of twist and turns. Still wouldn't leave Waubensee. Firetiger Rapala jerkbaits or the orange one. Some never use leaders. I like the titanium leaders 9 inch made here in Ontario. Gannon's had them but now I have them lol. Snap a couple hard ones and let it sit.

This stuff was garbage 20 years ago and still is. XPS BPS Flouro.

If you are out of Marshes or Pier 69 both launch like backing off cliff. Pier 69 likely better. I would drop my trolling motor and start fishing. There's rock weed pads out to the mouth. Then I would work left and across to other side. It would be possible I never start engine. Or when I got to the mouth of Wabenshe to your right is marked gap go thru there and fish the shore to right. There are several small in cut bays up a ways. Water high so you could launch in Vic Harbour. Same thing I would leave Hogg bay. And if I did I would do above. Make sure you catch the channel going over to Wanbeshe.

If you are talking Top 50 the winners will go to Barry Sound. That's a haul and you better have gps.

It's not that far to Honey Harbour. Just no reason to go. Plenty good pike water around Waubeneshe. Stick to channel only map chips suck in this area.

I but one on the street like that. Also started and ran like a charm until you hit 1 blade of grass. Zero compression stalled every time. Scrapper got it.

The counter guys/gals are good at both Napa/Car Quest. Ton more help than high school pimple at CTC.
-
Well that there is a problem. You know when they add up your time fishing doesn't count! I'm living to 200!!
-
Napa/ Car quest. Just take your old one in.

I thought re powering my Sprint 225 carb wouldn't save that much gas. WRONG Have a 200 Pro Craft with a 200 merc opti can't burn $60 and get freaked out at how little oil it uses.

Great Lakes bigger is better and speed means nothing. Playing the tournament game it's all about your dealers service department. Do your research.

Yellow handle hook file sold every where.

It's a pick um. 93 beam should be faster but basscat are heavy boats. It's true beam is the ride. I wouldn't buy off either dealer that sells Yamaha/ranger around here. They are both services nightmares. The only BDR dealer I would talk to is Bellville Sport and Lawn. Nothing from Triton interest you Hunters Bay is great dealership. My buddy has a 21X Triton the best boat of my buddy's that includes 3 with Z521. Ranger must have hired 3 engineers to design a trailer that no human can use to get in the boat.

New Humminbird compatible with old transducer and power?
Garnet replied to Tjames09's topic in General Discussion
Transducer get old and weak. If I had nice new transducer running old crap would not be option. Go down to the dollar store get 1/8 poly rope. Use your current transducer cable to fish rope back to old transducer. Now attach new cable and 1 rope with electric tape. Do a good job no sharp corners, a roll of tape is cheap. Pull your fish rope your new cable and the rope you leaving for the next time. Easy beasy. -
If you troll a lot charging your cranking battery not issue. If you spend a lot time running your trolling motor, your cranking battery is running livewells, fish finders Talons, stereo ect, then short runs you make with big motor won't keep up. One thing that can help is putting your console fishfinder in sleep mode when not being used. If you have room buy a second 2 bank charger 5/5 and put both leads on your cranking battery then run 3 way plug to your power cord running both chargers. Typically your cranking battery will charge fairly fast and shut down.

My experience with battery's when they start using water they are on the way out.
-
Your 1st Question Is it battery charger. 2nd Question is it battery. That load tester talked about every boater should own 1 $50 CTC. You shouldn't run anything else off trolling motor battery's. Take load tester and test each battery. Even dis charged they should have 12 volts. 11 anything battery is junk. Brand new battery's are most likely to crap. So leave load tester on battery and plug in charger should go over 13 volts. Not instantly but over 13. Do same to other battery. So charger good now charge battery's fully and load test. If your battery terminals are not shiny and cover white grease all this could be a waste of time. 1 bad connection and all this doesn't work.

My last boat I put 300,000k on trailer. The one before this same. I've had every imaginable bearing blow out. Learned to have 2 hubs, front different than back and 2 sets of bearings, all tools necessary, jacks, 4 way wrench. When you are 20 hrs from home you better know what to do.
