  1. Side imaging only works at 3-4 mph so it's not necessary to have transducer below hull. Almost all problems are poor installation . Try the transducer thing if that doesn't do it move to the harder stuff. Running wires together is major. Todays electronics are sensitive little dudes. The problem is most times you have 2-3 minor issues. You spend 1-5 k on unit why wouldn't you spend $200 for a good installation? My Gen 1 shows bottom and detail at 60 mph on a bassboat if yours doesn't it's likely poor installation.
  2. In your situation readily available and no other species available Largemouth it is. Most of my fishing crappie, bluegills, rockbass, walleye, perch and now pike are readily available. So to answer your question I've eaten largemouth and smallmouth just not often and they where good.. I believe 100% catch and release to open the door for aunt ie s .
  3. Depending of how much gas you put threw your boat. I run seafoam every other tank. Not just your motor it's $8 a can. Those yammy lovers they blow and carbon. $8 dollars!
  4. See those tie wraps in the last pic. This could be a problem. The side scan and the skimmer are lowrance and that 3 rd is likely Hummingbird the tie wrap bundles these different frequency together. Just something to think about when running wires. If necessary I've used up a roll of electric tape for added insulation.
  5. The funny thing is if you just pay the fine. Your name doesn't go on the list.
  6. Think I would leave the JB Weld idea on hold. Structure scan is at 3-4 mph so turbulence is not that big of deal. I would look around Radio World site, Find Larwen Wensal installation instructions. Running cables together or balling excess and taping are all bad. Your unit should be hard wired to starting battery. To do a great job likely $200 for stainless buse , 6 gauge proper connectors. I got all this stuff from Whitby marine supply. You can't believe what he has. Not cheap but good stuff.
  7. Every brand has a fish and ski. Stratos triton ranger. In todays world you are pony up for these.
  8. Do you know how many times some tin boat jockey pulls up beside my nice shiny bass boat.
  9. You need to hit other areas bird watching, mountain biking, road biking, hiking. The more areas you can serve to more success/clients.
  10. The shed not likely. The crap stored in shed constantly.
  11. I agree with don't rattle the bushes. I would build "L" shed not encroaching on septic. And never let vehicles drive over the septic bed.
  12. I have my doubts on the diagnosis to. At 18 psi that motor would be missing and shaking and down on power.
  13. I launched at Muskoka same time as you motor seem to run fine. But it had low compression when you bought it. This didn't show up last weekend. Did you have a compression check before you bought. You will be happy to have a merc. Extreme Marine by airport Toronto is also very good. There are plenty of Merc mechanics around but the 2 above are the best and interesting is the where tournament partner way way back in the day.
  14. Which everyone makes you go Mmmm. Same as picking a partner the one you like is the one you like.
  15. You can sharpen the leading edge of your prop will help a little. I use my yellow handle hook sharpening file. 12 volt just doesn't have the grunt.
  16. Big Fat Bass site
  17. Most States require a throw cushion. Square white seat cushion. I kept mine and tied that floating rope we need to the cushion the states need to have something that might work.
  18. I see used min kota 24 and 36 volt 8-900.
  19. I didn't know Dollarrama is worst than Shoppers or Tim's! The Dollarrama at Kingsway plaza has 6' knives and frogs not the 1 behind Tims the one 500ft to east.
  20. Quick trip into ctc will get you same thing ends attached ready to go.
  21. I've order from them out of Quebec lots of good stuff no issues.
  22. Has anybody seen the 4" fillet knife?
  23. On your trailer harness. Do you have a white wire not attached. If you do extend wire to trailer tough drill a hole, self tapping screw works good, shine up area and attach.
  24. Take a piece of cardboard something like a shoe box lid. Cut a couple divots on each end and roll your 65 on to cardboard. Another scissor cut for tag end and write 65 power pro . Good for another day. Braid has no memory. I use 20lb braid yellow and titanium leaders. for pike up to 20lbs on a 6-6 medium X fast baitcaster.
  25. Cosco and wal mart have good return counters.
