  1. John. You'll will have two modules in direct contact with the pilot light. One is the thermocouple and the other is a thermopile millivolt generator. Or you may have only one module that serves both funtions. Bottom line is that the millivolt generator produces enough power to operate the gas valve, thus no need for ac power to operate your appliance.
  2. Breaking news!!! Police now claim that they have in their posession, a video of Rob Ford clearly lining Salmon. He's done....
  3. Mililvolt system. Your pilot light generates enough electricity to run the gas valve on your appliance.
  4. Not a big fan of OPG but I've never had to depend on anything else. And it gets cold here.
  5. I assume that you're referring to Dion, Glen? As most of you know, I met him and spent some once in a lifetime quality time with him. Sure, he's not the best defensive defenseman. But there's a reason that he is near the top of the league in ice time every year, under both Wilson and Carlyle. He obviously has offensive skills and gets caught up ice at times. That should be addressed by the coaching staff. Someone has to cover for him when he's up on the play. What we don't know is how much of a team leader is he in the dressing room. I assume he's pretty good in that department too. I know that he was very well spoken when I talked to him. Not 20 minutes before we chatted, he was in a meaningless scrap with Horton of the Bruins ( who left the ice with a bloody nose/face). We talked in depth about his reluctance to fight, and of course it made sense. It was a priviledge to be talking to him about this one on one in the Leafs dressing room while a hoard of reporters waited outside the dressing room door on a hockey night in Canada game, to talk to him about the same thing. Bottom line is that I may be predjudiced Phaneuf fan, but I I think that the Leafs will be a much lesser team without him. They are a fun team to watch and they have lots of potential to make a run, and losing Dion at this point will not serve them well.
  6. Leafs aren't even playing tonight and they're up 3 nothing in the 2nd!! Mind you they're being outshot 94 to 3.
  7. Better get that flopping Reimer out of there soon if they hope to keep winning. 40+ shots against tonight. Good thing that they had that 4 zip leap for Reimers sake.
  8. Wow. Watching the Kessel line move the puck is just nuts.
  9. I just rediscovered an old 9' Fenwick fibreglass fly rod in the basement Bill. It was my pride and joy back in the day. I'm sure that I have a 7' Fenwick spinning rod down there somewhere as well. Probably with a Mitchell 300 attached to it. Thanks for the memories.
  10. Nice post Joey.
  11. Well somehow I missed this thread when first posted, but let me add a big TWO THUMBS UP to Skipper. He sounds like the kind of guy that I'd like to spend a day or two with for sure.
  12. Just throw it in the pot with the rest of bird however you are cooking it Rob. To clean the gizzard, simply slice it open on any side. It will be full of pebbles, berries, clover etc. There is a liner on the inside that simply peels away along with all of the contents. Give it a try.
  13. Where's the gizzard? Don't tell me that you threw it out?? I'd toss the breast before the gizzard.
  14. Same thing happened last year and they went pretty far. A couple of notes here. Clarkson didn't light up the scoring sheet but his presence was noted. And I think that Reimer is #1 in the Leafs camp imho. And for the guys harping about getting rid of Phaneuf, watch the little things that he does. He doesn't lead the team in ice time for nothing.
  15. Not too far off your schedule here Dave. Ice up right around the corner and like last year, ice off in June. Enjoy your winter.
  16. Pretty much lost for words here. Adding my condolances just doesn't seem enough. Perhaps the best thing that I can say is that time is the best healer. And that starts right now. May your little Angel rest in eternal peace.
  17. Outstanding Bunk. Sure wish I could have found the time to hook up with you. Next years for sure Bud.
  18. Just be prepared to have kids still at home well into their late 20's. Grandchildred too. It happens.
  19. I post reports when I can Brian. Sorry that you haven't seen them. I also want to say that moderating a forum of this size is not easy. Roy and Art do most of the work. And they do a fantastic job imho. Sometimes decisions are discussed in the mods forum. Sometimes not. Never will a decision please everyone. I'm sure that if the decision were up to you Brian, you would have locked a thread or two over the years too. Which ones? And why? Not that easy, is it?
  20. For the past couple of weeks, the staff at the Dorion Ontario fish hatchery have been checking the Lake Trout for the condition of the eggs. Well today, some of them were ready and some egg collecting took place. The staff there are very accomodating and didn't mind at all that I took a video. The fish are netted from the holding tanks and then put in an anesthetic solution that immidiately calms them. They think that the Brook Trout might be ready next week. I'm hoping that I can see some of that. Here's what I got today.
  21. The best thing about being a sports fan is..... There is no better time than today. And today is looking pretty damn good.
  22. One weeekend together and you know me that well, eh?
